About 32 million acres (13 million hectares) of forests are cut down each year an area about the size of England or New York State and the emissions generated are comparable to those of China and the United States, according to the Eliasch Review.

About 32 million acres (13 million hectares) of forests are cut down each year an area about the size of England... This is a FACT! I've done the math on this oft cited factoid, originally purported around 1988, and its no wonder we have now deforested the entire planet and half the forests of Mars. /sarc
Honestly, the forests the size of England for the last 25 years? This hyperbole can only come from the Greenies..
