Bigger Than Watergate
The American Spectator ^ | December 21, 2009 | Matthew Vadum

ACORN critic Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) is mystified that both the Democratic-controlled Congress and the Obama administration aren't doing much about the tax-subsidized organized crime syndicate ACORN even as evidence of its wrongdoing continues to pile up.

In an exclusive interview, the House Judiciary Committee member describes the ACORN saga as "the largest corruption crisis in the history of America."

"It's thousands of times bigger than Watergate because Watergate was only a little break-in by a couple of guys," said King. "By the time we pull ACORN out by its roots America's going to understand just how big this is."

Unlike the Nixon-era Watergate scandal, the ACORN scandal reaches not only to the highest levels of government, but also to states and localities across America. The president himself and his political advisor Patrick Gaspard used to work for ACORN and the radical advocacy group has allies throughout congressional leadership who are bending over backwards to protect it. President Obama has also hired as White House counsel Bob Bauer, whom King described as "the number one defender of ACORN in the country." ...

Crime takes on a whole new meaning when there aren’t any cops.

It's nice that some people remember that old ACORN scandal. My, my, my -- that one happened a long, long time ago didn't it? Back in 2009, I think. Those were the days, eh?

'Course, no one cares about old stuff like that nowadays.

What’s been going on with Breitbart since he got that summons to the grand jury?

"It's thousands of times bigger than Watergate....

Maybe it's "too big to prosecute?"

Too bad nobody is hearing this and it has, mostly, been swept under the rug.

Crime takes on a whole new meaning when there aren’t any cops.

Crime is only a matter of how the event is perceived. One man's crime is another man's aggressive behavior.

I will send another email to my congress-critters, this morning, reminding them that I am still watching their performance regarding these criminals.

+++++++++++++

Is he really mystified that the ones that benefit the most from something corrupt act as though there is nothing there to be concerned about? Right now they protect it. When they actively cover it up, or should we say “get caught “ covering it up, then it will be comparable to Watergate.

Good luck with that congressman. Acorn is too corrupt to fail. It’s tentacles go all the way into the White House.

Bigger than Watergate.

Nearly ANYTHING is bigger than the actual crimes underlying Watergate, including dozens of casually criminal acts by the oily Bill Clinton, not to mention LBJ and JFK.

Watergate was the LeftMedia feeling its oats and expanding its monopoly power, after successfully shutting down the Vietnam War.

Is Steve King an IDIOT, like so many Republicans?
Was he not told that ACORN IS OBAMA, and that it is a Marxist front organization for the Democrats?

They served Acorn cookies in the White House. They control the White House and don’t care who knows it.

People need to demand that these people, Obama and crew, get punished NOW for the constant crime and corruption.

I am sick of them getting by with all this. Obama should be impeached and booted out of office asap.

“Crime is only a matter of how the event is perceived. One man’s crime is another man’s aggressive behavior.”

Agree. Goes back to Levin’s favorite Lincoln quote on the separate meanings for the word “liberty”. Liberty, to some = freedom. To others, it means the freedom to gouge your neighbor.
