Can’t tell yet but I’m pulling for her. Seems like she has fewer bashers, or maybe they see that their own audience has growing respect for Palin.
And the list has absolutely nothing to do with anything of importance. But it does help them, the pollers, determine what the people answering the questions really think.

I keep hearing this. Words like "rambling", "dazzlingly incoherent", "bizarre bailout", and I can only wonder "are Americans really that dumb?"
To me one of Sarah Palin's strengths is that she knows how to structure a speech, and her Lake Lucille announcement (18 minutes, delivered without teleprompter or notes) is a great example. It tells you exactly why she got into politics, why she resigned as governor, and what her future intentions are.
I am not impressed nor fooled by someone's 'eloquent' language...You can learn that in any school...And because you know the language, it doesn't make you any smarter...

It’s delusional to believe that Palin doesn’t face a strong headwind. The fact of the matter is while she’s incredibly popular with the base, especially social conservatives, she does have a “Dan Quayle” problem with the general electorate.
And your evidence of this “Dan Quayle” problem is what exactly? Book sales, Oprah ratings, Facebook supporters? 50/50 approval among Independents?
Dan Quayle never got deafening applause walking on stage of The Tonight Show either.
I believe the operative word in your statement is “was”. Her popularity dropped precipitously after her failed VP bid. I believe she had fallen to the mid-fifties shortly before her resignation as governor; an approval rating in the fifties for a Republican governor in a very red state, isn’t all that remarkable.
That decline wouldn’t have anything to do with the politics of personal destruction, would it? Couldn’t possibly be the endless false stories in the state-run media about her, huh?

We need to get through 2010 first. Let Palin keep doing what she is doing - it’s more effective. If she decides to run, then fine.
Pravda would like nothing more but to have her announce. This will give Zero, who is nothing more than a career campaigner, a public target to “campaign” against. Remember, the Dems own everything they are doing.
I vote yes. She has to have a strong backup team. Cheney (Liz), Pawlenty, Jindahl, Bachman, West(fl. candidate), military leaders, etc. And I do believe her capable of assembing such a team.

You seem overly impressed by multisyllabic terms not in common parlance. Others are less so, and deem such speech to be self important bloviation.
I'd tend to think that the success of Ronald Reagan, who was nothing if not folksy, but hailed as The Great Communicator precisely for his ability to speak to everyone, to bring clarity and simplicity to complexity, would be more of an ideal model for any Conservative, or even your garden variety, establishment Republican.
Wonky, complicated sentences are not the mark of any successful President in modern memory. GW Bush? Certainly not, although he had a much better grasp of the language than his occasional, tongue-tangled howlers might suggest. Clinton? Highly affected folksiness, very seldom veering into the sort of extemporaneity that you seem to think prerequisite. GHW Bush? Now, there's one who relished the occasional pompous turn of phrase. One termer. Reagan? Folksy as all get out. Carter? Wonk, wonk, wonk, and hated for it. One termer.
Are you beginning to sense a trend here?
I’d really like to see Kasich as a veep candidate though, if he wins in OH, he’d be a pretty fresh governor.

Is there a good site that outline's Palin’s conservative plan for America? Most of what I have read is about her personally, not about her political and economic strategies for America.
You’re right about emotion being an important part of the equation. I’d just like to see a broad list of candidates who really slug it out over ideas and visions rather than just name calling while getting out the message of small, limited government to the masses. We need to bury both compassionate conservatism and styrofoam column empty suit Axlerod teleprompter communism.

This state is full of Federal Government and State Government employees. You probably know how they vote. This state has a large “native” population, that while they may like to hang onto their guns, hunt and fish, they sure as hell ain’t going to cut the hand that feeds it, they, like most entitled peoples, are still sucking the government titty.
Now add on all the Green Peace, Sierra Club, Tongass Conservation Society Arts and Croissants crowd, the Hikers and Bikers, and you are left with a few such as myself who actually work for a living. Yes we mangage to barely hang onto a majority, but only barely.
