Still with the name calling?

I dont care what it says..your isp can still be traced. Make a few threats about a public figure and see how fast you are found.

It’s free. If you want privacy, you should not be using it.

I learned back in the 90’s to treat every single thing I write down as though it will fall into the hands of the one person in the world that is motivated to do me, personally, the most damage.

If I were to do anything “bad” using the internet, I would use a special computer that was ONLY used from free wi-fi-sites, use multiple sites, use the computer for nothing else, and use email addresses completely unaffiliated with any of my “legitimate” business.

And even then I would probably not be anal enough. I would probably need to wear a fake beard and sunglasses and maybe an oversized shirt with a pillow in it to thwart surveillance cameras in Starbucks, etc.

In this world, you can NOT be too careful.

‘Course, I think it would be a waste anyway. If you are working with another person to do something dastardly, you are probably already caught anyway, and just don’t know it.

Did you just see someone move in that van across the street? ;)

>>No doubt Facebook is monitored.<<

I have literally no doubt it is ALL monitored. It is too easy. They would be incompetent to not monitor it. All of it. And probably 98% of the work is automated.

Hushmail cooperates with law enforcement and logs IP addresses in order to analyze market trends, gather broad demographic information Ie, it ain’t private.

I am certain that Google sells their email addresses to the worst types of spammers. A couple of years ago I got a Google email account, but I never posted the info to a web site, gave it to anyone else, or sent an email from it. Despite this, I got roughly 50 pieces of spam email a day, including the standard Viagra, Rolex lookalike watches, Nigerian prince scams, refinance your home, etc. There’s no way anyone could have gotten this email address except from Google.

I appreciate that Yahoo puts the originating IP address in the emails.

I’ve saved a lot of time, by not talking to people after doing a WHOIS on IP addresses only to learn that the email came from Africa.

What don’t you people get about never using your IP. My IP changes and is shared with thousands. I give up. Do a little research on static IP’s and proxies, Then we can chat.

LOL You can say that again.

I am glad he thinks he is safe. Its not like someone trying to trace him, wont trace him to the cloaking/encryption site..and they will give him up faster than he can type his password.

But thats ok..he feels safe..and thats all that matters.

A good old fashioned land line or face to face talk is the best way if you are hiding something which you seem to think anyone that chooses to not be spied on is.

They can log me in Singapore, Canada, UK, California, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvainia or wherever it puts me all they want to. I am never where it says I am. So that IP will be shared with 1000’s. You are ill informed.

You just love the name calling huh? Does that help your weak argument?

You can be traced as long as you are on a computer and dont let anyone tell you anything different.

static IP address/dynamic IP address

You’re still wrong and I have no intention of telling you how I do it and how others do it. Figure it out yourself.

Ok..you want me and everyone else here to be wrong..suit yourself. You CAN be traced no matter what your isp says..your internet provider knows who you are, what isp they issued and what numbers you have showing for it (that is, if its something other than what they issued). Cloak sites will give you up..encryption sites will give you up..and you can be traced. But, just go ahead and believe what you want, if fooling yourself makes you happy.
