I am torn here. On one hand I support property rights. On the other, billboards are a blight on the world.

That’s not on Woodward, south of 8 Mile, is it?

Oh I agree but this seems to be a case of the little guy against the state and the big advertizers. There really aren’t a lot of big billboards along Michigan highways these days once you get away from the cities.

Coldwater Michigan has 6 traffic lights in the downtown area. The DOT removed one against all the protests of people trying to cross a particular intersection of US 12. The street is not crossable during the day. It was removed anyway. The Michigan DOT is actually run by idiots who have no respect for businesses in Michigan.

I havent been there in a few years but it sounds more and more like Michigan is California with bad weather.
Agreed, Wisconsin isn’t much better!

Sounds as if you know him personally. When I googled his name, I found a myspace page, is this him? Hope not, he lists his heroes as AL Gore and Bill Clinton.

Good on the landowner but in these stories public ‘servants’ should be named and shamed and photographed to give them pause in future about pulling their little Hitler act.
To: healy61
LOL it doesn’t take 5 minutes to drive from one end of Coldwater to the other even if you catch all the lights. I can definitely see the problem with crossing the highway.

Just what does the pig farm part have to do with it. Are is it suppose to be some sort of sympathy grab. People all over the country try to circumvent sign zoning laws by using movable trailers so they can claim it's just parked there.
To: Daffynition
The peoples democratik republik of michiganstan, with our canadian socialist feminazi governator, is going through the books with a fine tooth comb, and issuing fines for every little thing they can. The state is broke, and this is how they are raising cash. Watch out!!! ( on a side note, I have shopped at witbecks, and the store smells, literally!!!! )
To: Fido969
And if you notice the permit number is clearly visable below the martini glass.

OTOH, I have friends who shoot, who are the most liberal of liberals, and when it comes down to brass tacks, will fight shoulder to shoulder when it comes to 1A, 2A issues. Go figure.

Part of Smock’s rub here is the uneven enforcement of the law.

No, I think it's like a lot of smocks’s that think they are above the law.
As I said this gimmick is not new and has lost every time it goes to court.
