Ben Nelson: Hey, maybe I’ll give back that ObamaCare bribe

Turns out Harry Reid just kind of forced the money into his hands, you see.

“Three senators came up to me just now on the (Senate) floor, and said, ‘Now we understand what you did. We’ll be seeking this funding too‘,” Nelson said.

But the Democratic senator, who has faced a heap of criticism for appearing to trade his vote on health care for millions in federal Medicaid money, said he’s considering asking that the Nebraska deal be stripped from the bill.

Though he defended the exemption as a “fair deal,” he said he never asked for the full federal funding that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ended up granting his state. Nelson said he instead asked that states be allowed to refuse an expansion of Medicaid.

“This is the way Senate leadership chose to handle it. I never asked for 100 percent funding,” he said.

Nelson has maintained that the only reason he even brought up Medicaid was that Nebraska Republican Gov. Dave Heineman put him up to it.

See what happened here? This guy thought this was politics as usual, that the Medicaid stocking stuffer for Nebraska would cushion the blow of a yes on cloture. Instead it made him look like a bribe-peddler who’d vote for an awful bill and sell out on something as morally grave as abortion in return for a cheap earmark. (As Ed noted, even DNC TV feels clammy about it.) Worse, it gave all the other pigs the idea to come running to the trough, with Politico now hailing Nelson’s deal as something that will almost singlehandedly raise the bar for legislative buyoffs going forward. Never mind those “Joker” posters: When even a bridge-buildin’ RINO like Lindsey Graham is calling you “sleazy” on national television, the writing is on the wall. So now he’s trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. Too late, too late.

I bet this is really going to go over good with Nebraska voters. Not only did this scumbag take a bribe to vote for a bill they hated, he’s now talking about giving back the bribe — leaving Nebraska saddled with a vote they deplore and nothing to show for it.

The political class in America today is beyond corruption. They have become the enemy even more so than the British were in 1776.

A new revolution is long overdue.

Doesn't matter now. The bill only needs 50 votes to pass now that the cloture vote is done.

Our only hope is that 11 or more Democrat senators drop their support for this bill if Reid won't give them the same deal.

Ben Nelson, you might not know it but you are toast in Nebraska and throughout the country. You might as well resign and let your Republican Governor replace your sorry butt!!!

I believe the Senate still needs 60 votes to pass the House-Senate reconciliation bill.

He could absolve himself of his treacherous bribe by voting “NO” loud and clear on Thursday. That would make the final vote count 59 to 41 on the “Healthcare” bill.

That would take guts and standards, so I’m not holding my breath.

Now that the debate has ended, the next time the Senate needs to vote, ten of the Dems can vote no and let the Vice-President break the tie. The bill will pass and the ten that vote no can say that they did not vote for the monstosity when they come up for re-election.

Now I guess it is 1800 pieces of silver

we the people.jpg

Judas' 30 Pieces of Silver

Then one of the 60 called Judas Iscariot, went unto the Senate Leader and said unto him, 'What will ye give me, and I will deliver the bill unto you?' And they covenanted with him for 30 pieces of silver. Matthew 26:14-15.

Senate sold out the people

Judas Sold out Jesus for 30 Pieces of Silver The Senate Sold out 61% of the American Public with this Health Care Bill

We need to send 30 pennies or a scanned image of them to all the elected that have voted for a bill that most of the American Public is against, they surely do not deserve any more silver.
Please send this to any and all, if you need the html code I will gladly provide it.

House Speaker wants the House to vote for the Senate bill therby negating the need for combining the two bills and a reconcile vote.

What a low-life!

By the Way. I appreciate Jim Robinson more every day. Hi has a picture of Socialist Romney at the top of this string, smiling and glad handing his now failed free health care in Massachusetts. We must purge these socialists out of our party . Let him go democrat himself.
