the solution won’t come via politics. the root answer is a spirtual & mental revival that will CLEANSE EYES & allow the underclass to see how politics itself, both parties, have enslaved them inside a modern plantation game in wh/ both sides feed freely from.
Peoples, we SHOULD worry. if this & other boards on this particular issue are any barometer, we’re on the verge of cultural implosion.
many here feel threatened, angered & are burning w/ vengence. that friends will lead to a form of anarchy you’ll surely regret. modern day Watts massacres would scar this nation into a tempest of hate beyond what we saw in the ‘60’s.
that said, these raw feelings DO reflect a deeper TRUTH. It cant be further smothered or cynically manipulated for gain. It must be dealt straight dope & w/ urgency. Right now our body politic is as polorized on race as we were in the late ‘50’s-early ‘70’s. & as is the unbalanced nature of the blade, the political pendulum has swung too far now vrs whites. Just as it did from 1878-1963 vrs blacks.
what whites though, must understand, is that the same anger MLK warned angry blacks of in the ‘50’s, is the same type of potential nitro that will beget only higher & higher flames.
We HAVE to find a way to the table of goodwill & reason as Americans foremost, or this house will go up in flames.
imo, as was the impetus of foward change on whites of the ‘50’s, today African Americans of fair will must stand & look w/in themselves & realize they hold the ball now. Whites of goodwill & faith should work to the solution, but the step across the rapids now must be advanced by Blacks.
Politics on both sides of this issue has been a device of manipulation. as in MLK’s time, solutions will be found first in deeper resevoirs before politics itself can follow suit. This fundamentally must begin as an issue of the Heart.
African Americans must get honest. Their victimhood paradigm has corroded their culture into critical status. Men HAVE to find a path back to the mentality of leadership & pride in an intact FAMILY...
at any cost-—>>> NOW.
stop being played by: enabling hustler politics; a manipulative entertainment industry playing you as minstral man-children; bs paths out via street cred blood stands; seeing educ as uncle tom whitey sell out; & ignoring the route of capital growth.
CALL OUT all the above in your neighborhoods & demand a change of mind. Ridicule enablers of any form or kind: black, white, dem or GOP. They are as dangerous as the whitiest of whitey Klansmen. They undermine you more then any country club republican huddled in their most gated of gated communities. live out Malcom’s vision of self sufficiency thru Pride in family, community, God & ones own gifts.
Politics at this point as the first step is no solution. That die has been cast for over 40 years, both parties now suck your blood from both sides.
Alter the paridigm within & real political solution will follow. Free your mind & pathes will be open.
Anything less at this critical point will only make the racist smile & the vengenful of both races lick their lips in anticpation of the blood that will fall.
Remember when the militia movement was so big back in the 90's? I was sitting in the teachers lunchroom once and a particularly snotty young female math teacher called out to me across the room in a loud voice: Hey Mr____! Are you in one of those militia groups? And the whole room went dead quiet. I promptly chimed back at the same level of volume or a bit more: Nope! But it's not because I disagree with their goals. It's just that they can't teach me anything NEW! As she fled the room screaming the rest of us calmly went back to our lunch, I just smirked.
I have often thought a much better reply would have been: What? I wouldn't hang out with THAT bunch of liberals! But I wasn't thinking that critically that day. 'Sides, I got the reaction I was after, anyway!
I've been teaching for over 20 years now. The first 3 years is the probationary period where they can fire you on a whim. I was real careful for those years. I flew very low under the radar. A turtle, not a tiger. After that, for the next 7 years until I got tenure, I was still acting like a guerilla behind the lines. Recently since I hit the 20s, I've been more direct and out in the open. I'm a member of the teacher's union and they ALL hate me over there, but they will defend me to the death because there's a bunch of us conservatives in the system and they can't afford to lose anybody.
You know, in 20+ years I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of kids who have displayed blatant racial hatred towards me. Teachers? Thats a different story! The hate rolls off them in waves. So continuous it's intensity can make me nauseous sometimes. For those kinds of haters, I try and kill 'em with kindness and smiles. I rise above it. That's all I can do, except to show it to the kids once in awhile.
During the 2008 election I did an experiment with my AP kids and another AP teacher who's actually more conservative than I am! Really. So we went out and got some campaign buttons for McCain/Palin and had the kids wear them to their other classes. Those kids came back shaken and fearful. They were spat upon (by their own best friends!), threatened and thrown out of classrooms by teachers who should know better! What a wake up call for the smartest kids in the school.
I did better: I wrote a series pilot and gave it to my agent. There are some mighty heavy hitters out there looking at it right now. If it sells, I'll retire from teaching on the spot. One year of a series with me writing several eps and a job as a co-producer and consultant could make me my retirement fund in spades, even in a crumbling economy.

Homeschooling is a constitutionally protected right at this time. We are certainly not wealthy, but we are able to teach our children quite well. They are far beyond their peers at the public school. Besides this, they are quite capable of carrying a well articulated conversation with adults. They know how to think logically and do not believe that what is said is a fact without thinking for themselves. They are learning rhetoric and debate. Our 10 year old argues with the politicians on tv, pointing out assumptions and arguments they make that she believes to be false. The point is this: anyone can homeschool if they like spending a great deal time with their children and can provide care for their children while the children would normally be at school. I am in college and my husband works, but I work my classes around my husband’s schedule, so we don’t have to pay for daycare.
