U.S. Senate candidates in Illinois walk carefully when discussing gun control, with most stressing support for the right to bear arms even if they favor some restrictions.
Gun ownership has been an ongoing issue in federal elections in Illinois, with officials trying to reduce violence in Chicago - where handguns are banned - on one side, and downstate hunters and sportsmen who oppose restrictions on the other.
Five Democrats and six Republicans, along with a Green Party candidate, are vying for their party's nomination Feb. 2 to run for the Senate seat once held by President Obama. Some of the candidates responded to an Associated Press questionnaire about guns.

Illinois is one of only two states that prohibit any kind of concealed carry. Illinois is a corrupt cesspool, completely dominated by the uber-leftists in Chicago.
“...officials trying to reduce violence in Chicago - where handguns are banned...”

Except for politicians.
What exactly is the difference between Mark Kirk (the pro abortion gun grabbing cap and trade rino) and Alexi Gianoulias (the typical dembot)?
The question is, does one teach Mark Kirk and the RNC a lesson or do conservative voters work to get Kirk elected?
Personally I refuse to live in any state as foul as Ill. I have been there and could not wait to leave. I refuse to live in a place where my guns cannot live as well.

Kirk’s name is easier to spell.
Every one of Jackson's comments deserves a smackdown.
"No one needs a semiautomatic weapon on the streets of Chicago."
Apparently they do Mr. Gianoulias. HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THE VIOLENT CRIME RATE IN CHICAGO LATELY, which, according to Ms. Jackson is caused by uneducated blacks who can't find jobs cause the federal gubmint hasn't given them enough money..
