BUT HE CALLED 14 Senators to congradulate them for the vote. To think we have 3 more years of his $#@#%^^.

They are pushing right now to change direction of Obama’s falling numbers.

Axelrod: "Mr. President, there was an attempted terrorist attack on board a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines a few hours ago."
Ø: "Uhh, okay, so what should we do? Politically speaking of course."
Axelrod: "Mr. President, you are free falling in the polls and this might be perceived as yet another negative, that frankly we don't need right now."
Ø: "Let me be clear. Uhh, um, deerrrrp. We cannot allow this to sabotage our socialist agenda, and the more unpopular I get, the worse chance we have to completely transform this country into the USSA."
Axelrod: "You need a quick PR boost, Mr. President."
Ø: "I'll have the uhhh, secret service boys plan me a quickie over at the nearest military base."
Axelrod: "Great, don't forget to take the Press Corps with you."
He needs something to do until his minions can get into the hall of records. Closed for the holidays I guess.
I know I am going to get razed for saying this , but I happen to know quite a few of these Marines who at at MCBH right now ; and I’m glad the Prez stopped into to say Hi . Say what you will , but it’s a nice respect for them and I am sure they dig it . Marines are NOT political guys , they just love their work and love their country and he is the C&C . If he were NOT to drop by ,that would be bad...It did not tick any of them off and I am sure they are all talking about the occasion with family and loved ones all across the nation right now .
Because of where he stays (when on holiday) he goes to MCBH every day to work out . It’s the safest place .So just please get used to this daily interaction . They are used to it and enjoy the PR too . So I have heard . It makes base life more interesting for them . So I have heard m from ‘them’
I think he still has family in Hawaii. 30 minutes with the Marines and he can call it a business trip.
These two are unfit to walk the same ground as these fine young men.
He did that “HI Guys” shit (can I say that?) last year. No General Officer or any other officer would greet the service personnel like this. Going into a Marine Mess Hall, once a Marine would see the President, he or she would call Attention and the Marines would stand at attention until told to be at ease..and they would have expected the greeting to be something like, Merry Christmas, Marines” not a Hi Ya..

Why would anyone have a problem with this?
When we just bash the guy no matter what he does, our criticisms of him are easily brushed aside--"Nothing he does will satisfy these people."
I have no problem with this, none. They could have stayed home. Instead, they spent more time thanking our service people than *I* did today (or most people here, I bet). (I talked with and gave a few bucks to a homeless vet, that's all.)
I approve of this 100%.
