Whatever happens, he’ll be fine, he’s traveling in the company of the Holy Spirit. I expect we’ll hear from him again.

"I don't want President Obama to come and pay to get me out

Good thing, the man-boy president isn't about all that. Wouldn't surprise me if next year Kim Jong-il(l) is on his Christmas tree.

Not to bring everyone down over the holidays, but this guy is incredibly brave ... and will probably end up in a camp, which in North Korea is a hell like no other.

This YouTube video is the first-hand account of one of the rare escapees from one of the camps. It’s absolutely horrifying, and please don’t take the “Viewer Discretion” warning lightly.

I don’t know what the answer is to liberating North Korea from a madman, if there even is an answer. Just knowing that this is going on right now, while I’m having my nice holiday break, is physically nauseating.

I know I’m nowhere near as brave as Robert Park, so I wish him the best.

He's right you know but,

It's pointless to throw yourself in front of a juggernaut.

Don't worry, you don't have enough melanin to even begin to register on Zero's compensation radar.

Are starvations really taking place in such numbers?

Park was quoted by activists who went with the border as shouting when he went across: "I am an American citizen. I am bringing God's love. God loves you." ... "I don't want President Obama to come and pay to get me out. But I want the North Korean people to be free," Park said on Wednesday before departing for China.

You got a lotta nerve calling this brave man names.

Brave is doing something that you think will have a positive outcome. This guy is just stupid. He is no better than those who want to commit suicide by cop.

The figure 7 million, in my opinion, is the number of people ‘in serious state of starvation.’ I don't think it means that such a large number of people are actually dead in N. Korea.

I can understand the mixed feelings expressed on this thread, it hardly seems rational, but you cannot deny that his heart is in the right place and that he is a brave man.

Godspeed Robert Park.

I have always believed that some unexpected accident(s) will topple N. Korean regime. So I am not really hard on Robert Park.

That is, his action is an unexpected development with little downside since his family won't push for his release.

But not he current American people. These North Korean people are literally starving to death. We don’t know what that’s like. The poor in America are equal to the affluent in many other countries.

Brave is doing something that you think will have a positive outcome. This guy is just stupid. He is no better than those who want to commit suicide by cop.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was criticized by Karl Barth and other members of the Confessing Church when he went to London. They thought he should stay in Germany and fight National Socialism. From England, Bonhoeffer was offered a position studying non-violent resistance in Ghandi's asham. He went back to Germany to preach in the underground church instead. In 1939 he went to New York but once again returned to Germany. He knew what was in store for him. He was on the Gestapo's hit list

Richard Wurmbrandt headed the underground church in Romania. He didn't have to do that. There have been thousands we know of and many more Christians who simply disappeared preaching God's word in Nazi Germany and under communist regimes.

During the American Revolution, Princeton and other colleges were seminaries and hot beds of sedition. The revolution was preached from the pulpit. All these Christians were committing treason and subjected to being hanged by the neck. Then there were the abolitionists...lots of them went into the fire too.. This is what Christians do. I'm surprised at the criticism on this forum
