The last time I was in a plane was 1980. They have map trackers now? Are you serious?!!
Perhaps if this little item wasn't available then it wouldn't have been easy for the terrorist to act so drugged calm. If he had to depend on his own observations, he might have started acting nervously long before entering US soil. This would have alerted other passengers and crew.
If there indeed are map trackers on planes, they should be removed.
There’s also the possibility of forgery. Nigeria has got to be the armpit of the world for corruption, crime and scams. Maybe the manager was questioning the validity of documentation and made a bad judgement call on it. The Lagos airport where this guy started from is one of the least secure airports in the world. But he should have been stopped in Amsterdam, and he should have been PROFILED! When are we going to learn? How many more Fort Hoods or near misses. Oh well I hope Obamass is having a great time in HA. Maybe a mini-tsunami will sweep him away...we can hope. I’m sure he’s not losing any sleep over this.

My thinking is that the Nigerian was chosen because he was black, and suspicion would fall less on him than a Yemeni.

There was an article written about this by a former police officer who travels a lot. She said almost invariably she is pulled aside for extra screening. She has come to the conclusion the extra screening is not threat-based, but compliance-based. In other words they pull for extra screening those they think will go along with the least resistance.
Other articles have stated they think the terrorist was sedated in some fashion, which is probably highly likely. That would explain how he was suffering third degree burns while in his seat and not reacting to them. The Dutch man who tackled him also described the terrorist as looking like he was in a “trance”.

ANYONE can bord a plane in Amsterdam to US WITHOUT a passport
This si what I dont get . I’ve flown t Amsterdam maybe 12 times . Schiphol is a tight security airport. I had my bags yanked off a plane there because they saw a guitar overdrive box in my carry on bag . I’ve been questioned to death a few times there . Something went wrong on this one. How the hell do you get on a plane without a passport. Until now , impossible.
I like both ideas a lot.

This is kind of hard to believe.
I went to Dublin, Ireland two weeks ago and on returning, not only did we have to go through checkin, then bag check, then security screening, and then through US Customs, which is run by US, not Irish, Customs agents, who looked at every single passport. If you didn’t have a US passport you even had to fill in and present a green form that said you had no meat, plants, or taxable items, etc. Only then did we even get to our departure gate.
I don’t know how it’s done in Amsterdam, never having flown out of there, but it seems like there are a lot more than one screening one has to do before one even gets on a plane to the USA.

Let me rephrase:
Since Jan 20, 2009, domestic terrorism by islamic terroists in the USA have claimed 14 lives, wounded 32 more and and came very close to murdering 278 airline passengers in Detroit.
Between Post-September 11, 2001 and January 19, 2009, domestic terrorism by islamic terrorists in the USA claimed ZERO lives or wounded.
And more than a few believe that the enforcement firewalls preventing shared intelligence by key agencies and instituted by Clinton appointees - Jamie Gorelick and Eric Holder were directly responsible for the 9/11 islamic terrorist attacks on the WTC.
And for the record I was at the WTC during the 1993 attack and had just left the WTC on 9/11/01.
This isn’t just some remote abstract intellectual exercise for me, it’s still very real as are the islamic terrorists.
I think you are right on both counts, espeically that he should wait until he is over US soil so odumbo can take care of him
