Gibbs, like every other administration official this am, keeps referring to the various “lists”. We have this list, we have that list, yada, yada, yada. I wish someone would ask if he’s on any new “list” today. Fercyinoutloud, his own father, a Nigerian bigwig. turned him in for his extremist views. That should have put him at the top of some “list”.

Obie's administration is trying to toss the bombers old man under the bus. Said the information he gave wasn't specific enough to pull him off the flight. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Shelbey thinks this is a jolt for us.

How many “jolts” do we need?

He says this war is going to go on for 50 years. But I thought it was just George Bush trying to scare us all in order to grab power.

You are probably right,I can just see the clinics in Cuba now, with the best of everything except no band aides, no drugs, no a/c, and a 56 chevy with powered by a Russian diesel motor to pick you up after surgery.

Did you notice how obsessed Gregory was with the al-Qaida connection?

Plus the MSM seems to think they are going to find some sort of al-Qaida org chart that is going to tell us who talks to whom during the planning stage.

You have to know things are worse in our country when even Cuba starts looking good. Just ask Michael Moore, zero and the Democrats. They are drooling just thinking about it.

Its hard to spin this into its always George Bush's fault but if anyone can do it the DBM is up to the task.

Specter says that he knows that Republicans started plotting against Ozero before the ink was dry on the oath of office (not sure which oath as he took more than one)and he knows this because he was still a member of the caucus.

That seems rather dirty to me.

DeMint defends himself well against the filth that Specter throws at him.

Did you notice how obsessed Gregory was with the al-Qaida connection? As if you have to have a membership card with that one organization to be a threat and otherwise you just don’t matter.

Yes, I noticed. I took his line of questioning as something different. The administration is trying to downplay this latest terrorist incident as "isolated", "lone-wolf", extremist. I think he was trying to push them to admit he's part of AQ, whether he has a membership card or not. We have gone back to the pre 9/11 mentality of treating this as a law enforcement issue. The "terrorist" has lawyered up at this point. He's a terrorist, period.

That’s because they hope to get an interview with some big cheese like Dan Rather did with Saddam in 2002.

In Gregory’s case that would include a lot of fawning, bowing and scraping and trying to make the ALQ boss look sympathetic.

I’m glad to hear the talk of repeal picking up steam, assuming this monstrosity passes.

You are right. Back to reactive mode chasing a law enforcement issue.

Specter is such a jerk. He was a Republican and now a Democrat. Who is he to lecture anyone about policies and procedures. He should be thrown out in November.

Good analysis. I think you are right.

We have 13 murdered at Ft. Hood by the “lone wolf” and another “lone wolf” just about took out almost 300.

Those “lone wolves” are starting to add up significantly on the body count.

Son-in-law. I don’t like him so much due to his allergy to steady work and, of course, he’s way beneath my daughter’s station in life. I’ve always considered him one of the dimmer bulbs in the lamp and for sure politics were never his forte.

But as we all must, I tolerate him on holidays and such and this year they are all spending night as they live in Baltimore and I live in swamps of Delaware. We had a great meal and a great time, in the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, as last year I had not one gift under tree and Christmas capped a year of brain infections and heart bypass operations.

SIL cannot stand Obama and he launches into rant after rant.

“First of all,” he says. Inwardly I roll my eyes. Seriously. He’s never been any pundit but like I said, it was Christmas. “The young,” and he points to my beloved granddaughter Kaitlyn who I love dearly and all of her genes came from me Praise the Lord. So she looks a bit like him but hey, I didn’t say he was ugly, did I?

He continues. “The young already are covered with health insurance.” I am surprised because, yes they are. SCHIP it’s called. “The elderly and disabled have Medicare.” I raise eyebrows at his discourse. “So the able-bodied, like me, when we get sick we pay more. We pay into Medicare. We pay more in health care costs because we have to help carry the Spanish (he used a derogatory term) and illegals. But hey, the able-bodied carrying the weaker, WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS?”

I was struck dumb. Oh only for a moment but he’s right! He goes on...”If you need health care, you GO TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM! They can’t turn you down.” Heh. Still he is right. He gets it. “If I need hospital treatment or some such, I’ll either get Medicaid if I’m eligible or I’ll have to pay Five bucks a month for the rest of my life.”

Well see, I wish he had health care but then how you gonna get this if you don’t believe in such as steady jobs? He and my daughter live a life of hand to mouth but they are happy, yes they are, and I’ll tell you true, if SIL had a medical problem, he’d find a way to get by. Daughter has medicare due to disability cause daughter not stupid enough to be uninsured. Kaitlyn is covered by SCHIP. Hey, I’d never live my life like this, or did I, but what, I’m gonna spend the rest of my life harping on daughter? She knows how I feel and yet, she seems happy being one step beyond eviction.

SIL all day ranted and raved about Obama and damn he was good. He’s going out recruiting folks to vote him out, he’s gonna join tea parties, he says they are taking our freedoms away, he says he wants his daughter to have the country he grew up in.

I almost liked the guy.

So I’m at choir practice last week. One member of the choir, a year prior, said something so rude I really could not stand him. I’d mentioned something about Rush Limbaugh at one practice. This guy, we’ll call him Joe, gave a snarky comment about Rush Limbaugh being a wind bag, yada, yada. By me I don’t think Joe should have to listen to Rush Limbaugh but is it good form to be so derogatory of something somebody else likes? If Joe had said something good about, I dunno, Chris Matthews, I would have bit my tongue but manners are manners.

Last week Joe comes over and whispers in my ear. “You remember what I said last year about Rush Limbaugh?” I nod affirmative. Joe says “I love the guy now. I can’t stand this current administration. They’re going to bring this country down.”

Joe then gives me a thumbs up and I smile big.

I know these are anecdotal stories but here are two distinctly different individuals, both singing the same tune. Joe is a former executive from General Motors, very liberal, at least oncit. SIL is a bit of a heathen who never minded politics and whenever he talked about current events he sounded like an idiot who didn’t know what the hell he was talking about. He’s paying attention now, yes he is, that was very obvious.

What say you?

I wonder when it strikes the dim-lit hopey changers, that the already suggested airline procedures (last hour no standing, no moving, no luggage, no laptops, etc) is TOTALLY useless. It’s a typical emotional reaction that solves no problems and punishes everyone. ....a liberal feel good reaction.
