You waive you rights when you sign your driver liscense.

Hmmm...you may want to avoid your local checkpoint.

So true. You can be pulled over any time any where. Every vehicle has a broken tail light, or will have when the car is impounded. Say good-bye to your nice watch and any cash you have in your pocket. They won't make it to the property inventory.

I don't have a problem with DUI checkpoints. Driving is a privilege and as such, people should not drive while impaired. Unfortunately far too many that do drink and drive think they are the victims. Don't drink, drink at home, call a cab, have a DD. Not rocket science.

The old traveling about freely (driving) is a privilege canard.

Um, no. But thanks for playing.

Do you have specific law you can cite to show that, by signing a driver's license, in any state, I now waive any constitutionally protected rights?

What about out-of-state drivers?

You waive you rights when you sign your driver license.

More accurately you agree to an implicit contract that you will not engage in certain behaviors in exchange for permission to operate a motor vehicle upon the public roadways.

And the government quickly concocted schemes, forcing those that need to drive to survive, to register their vehicles over and over and over and over...instead of when he vehicle changed ownership.

What a corrupt scam!
