I know you’re right, but I don’t think people ‘get it’ quite yet.
Their shoes aren’t pinching enough. Not enough PAIN involved for the avareage American at this stage, yet.
But, it’s coming...
God Help Us All.
You are correct, I know mild libs that are still proclaiming his majesty, even when I throw out the crap he is doing. I am still hearing, “well do you want me to talk about Bush...” Makes one sick.
Topics discussed on this site, and the background behind those topics, are known to a minuscule number of Americans. IMHO, people prefer suffering to even the hint of controversy.
Most people in my neighborhood have no idea who their local officials even are, don't want to know about the local, state, or national issues, and resent anyone who brings them up in conversation.
Politics are impolitic.
I hear comments such as “Things were so bad, it’s only been a year, let’s give him a chance”. Or “I’m still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt”. So, not so much hero worship anymore, but a sort of cheer-for-his-efforts mentality. I don’t think they’ll ever admit, or even understand, he’s nothing more than a hardcore marxist.
