UPDATE: The AFP pool reporter, Stephen Collinson, says Obama will speak before reporters. He also reports that will happen at 10 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time, 3 p.m. EST.

Fox News's Steve Centanni reported that Obama would tape his remarks.
