Wonderful : Two Flight 253 plotters were released from Gitmo in 2007

Via Gabriel Malor, not the first case of compassionate release from Gitmo to have gone drastically wrong but certainly the one that’ll have the most political fallout.

This reads like the plot of one of those over-the-top David Zucker attack ads against the left — except it wasn’t the left that presided over this one. The next interview with Dick or Liz Cheney should be pretty interesting, huh?

They were released to Saudi Arabia. Is this an act of war by Saudi? I’m thinking it is.

Least we forget the tremendous pressure the Bush administration was under to release more Gitmo residents to their home countries. Saudi was willing to take them.
Don’t worry, our Special Forces are concentrating now on killing them in the field..they’ve had enough of catch and release.

According to other threads, they were released to Saudi Arabia in an "art therapy rehabilitation program."

[Hear them laughing?]

Before we lay this all on President Bush, I’d like to take a minute to ask a simple question....

What type of person would believe that a known terrorist would be converted to a peace loving shell of their normal kill the infidel mindset with a box of crayons and paints?

If the first thing that popped into your mind was a expletive expletive dope smoking hippy liberal.

Then don’t blame President Bush because they have infiltrated every organ of our government.

Are you sure about that? I would wager the rules of engagement have been softened since 1/20/09.

Correct. Including the Pentagaon, and not just the civilian part of the Pentagon, either.

Well, they SHOULD be blaming the leftist anti-war protesters and other assorted denizens of Obama’s power base. It’s because of pressure from them that Bush made the admittedly poor decision to begin releasing some Gitmo inmates. But this is just a red herring at this point. The pertinent question for Obama is now that we know that two former Gitmo detainees were involved in a new plot against us, will he reconsider his promise to close Gitmo and to transfer its prisoners? you betcha ><>

One program gives the former detainees paints and crayons as part of the rehabilitation regimen.

This is not real, it can't be. Such a thing could only happen in some bizzaro universe - nobody in this universe could concoct it.

The attack was retal for Obamas unilateral, unprovoked strike on Yemen so its his fault.

Saudi officials concede its program has had its “failures” but insist that, overall, the effort has helped return potential terrorists to a meaningful life.

correct- the USSC dealt Bush a bad hand by giving these GITMO turds constitutional rights and raising the standards of evidence necsssary to keep them in detention

all those lib lawyers who hailed this decision and other legally forced releases as a great move for America need to be re-interviewed now

anyone from the current administration who gloats over this being Bush’s fault should be asked what they would have done, and what they are currently doing with the GITMO psychos, that keeps us safe.
