Should outsource our rail system also? China built a 250mph train system in four years. We can’t even keep the NE corridor going when it snows.
In re the Chinese train, I am not too impressed. Remember what happened during their recent earthquake? They are not known for quality engineering.
China doesn’t have to deal with pesky little things like compensating people for their property taken for the rail line. They don’t have to meet any ecological standards, safety standards or workplace standards.
It’s easy to build a railroad when you can just bulldoze everything in the way and build it as fast and cheap as possible.
...and they’ll shoot anyone who dares try to stop the railroad or save their own home.
