The long-odds contender for the right to wage an up-hill fight against Teddy Kennedy bases his campaign on something rare among current Republican office-seekers: a positive, innovative and daring proposal.
Tuesday in historic Faneuil Hall, at the fourth debate between the two contestants in the Sept. 20 GOP primary, heavily favored Mitt Romney mixed Republican boilerplate with me-too liberalism ("Sometimes I'll vote with Ted Kennedy"). His opponent, John Lakian, opened by commenting that Romney, in emphasizing crime and welfare, did "the traditional things that politicians do."

When other Republican stars also proved reticent, the 47-year-old millionaire business-consultant son of former Michigan Gov. George Romney appeared from nowhere. Nobody here knew transplanted Michigander Mitt Romney, who was still voting Democratic in the 1992 primary. While not nearly as interesting or dynamic as his father, he is articulate, handsome and able to raise money -- good enough for Massachusetts Republicans.

fyi
But but but...
He’s changed!
Putting lipstick on a pig does not constitute "change." LOL
It is not pretty when you try to polish a turd.
This is inaccurate.
Romney is from Harvard Business School, he hired Meg Whitman who also has a Harvard MBA.
There are LOTS of threads on FR about the connection between Goldman Sachs - who alone contributed more money to Barack Obama than John McCain received from ALL of Wall Street - the connection between Goldman Sachs, the Harvard Business School, and Meg Whitman who sits on the board at Goldman's and Tim Geitner and Harry Paulson and Mitt Romney and innumerable Harvard MBAs and several dozen more names of TPTB.
Mitt Romney has millions to spend on his campaigns, and Meg Whitman has billions, and both want to run as Republicans.

The above articles discuss Meg's "evil" side and how others depict her as a "monster."
And this Ebay billionaire wants to be governor of California. Incidentally, Goldman Sachs managed the Ebay IPO, in which she became a billionaire, and her main competitor for governor, Steve Pozner became a millionaire.
I think that Harvard Business School should be shut down. Some day if you have time, read the book AHEAD OF THE CURVE.
That troll did a pretty good job of staying underground too. He was here from 2001 and somehow avoided that now famous, 'Rudy bug zapper thread'.
BTTT
Not just one but three.
Trying for more today are we ;-)
I will neither confirm or deny. ;-)
Heads up ping to viking2002 just in case this thread becomes another troll roast.
THREE Zots?!? Good Job!!
Yep. Azrael, welcome2thejungle, and another cheeky fellow I can't remember.
It wasn't my fault that they chose to defend Myth by smearing Reagan.
I only caught Azrael. His post, and zot, I was pinged to by the Viking Kitten Brigade.
And any FReeper who attempts to defend Myth (or any fellow pro abort RINO traveler) by smearing Reagan deserves what they get. They apparently didn't read the FR Homepage when signing up, or thought everything there is just to fill up space.
Romney voted for Paul Tsongas, at that time he was only giving money to liberal democrats in races against republicans, This past year we learned that Romney actually conducted fund raising himself for a democrat candidate in 1992, of course he also fund raised for Planned Parenthood in 1994.
None of this is surprising since we know that the republican son of a republican presidential candidate left the republican party to protest President Reagan during the 1980s.
Romney hates conservatism and is a Trojan Horse candidate.
"Stupid is as stupid does, and Romneybots does stupid real good..."
