A little-discussed executive order from President Obama giving foreign cops new police powers in the United States by exempting them from such drudgery as compliance with the Freedom of Information Act is raising alarm among commentators who say INTERPOL already had most of the same privileges as diplomats.
At David Horowitz's Newsreal, Michael van der Galien said the issue is Obama's expansion of President Ronald Reagan's order from 1983 that originally granted those diplomatic privileges.
Reagan's order carried certain exemptions requiring that INTERPOL operations be subject to several U.S. laws such as the Freedom of Information Act. Obama, however, removed those restrictions in his Dec. 16 amendment to Executive Order 12425.
That means, van der Galien wrote today, "this foreign law enforcement organization can operate free of an important safeguard against government and abuse."
"'Property and assets,' including the organization's records, cannot be searched or seized. Their physical locations are now immune from U.S. legal or investigative authorities," he wrote.
Obama's order said he was removing the Reagan limitations on INTERPOL:
"AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 12425 DESIGNATING INTERPOL AS A PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION ENTITLED TO ENJOY CERTAIN PRIVILEGES, EXEMPTIONS, AND IMMUNITIES
"By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1 of the International Organizations Immunities Act (22 U.S.C. 288), and in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983, as amended, is further amended by deleting from the first sentence the words "except those provided by Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act" and the semicolon that immediately precedes them," he wrote.

What Constitution? The obamagang has gutted what used to be the US Constitution. I’m thinking this will give him the go-ahead to empower this unsupervised agency to spirit any of his domestic freespeech “enemies” out of the country and jail them as terrorists.
No, but it means they can kidnap current and former U.S. Servicemen and women and spirit them off to some foreign country for kangaroo-court-style “war crimes” trials.
This is more bad s..t from Ozamma and his den of crooks. How much more will the public let them get away with before the bubble bursts.
We retain the right to self defense. Anyone attempting any actions othwise illegal can meet our execising out rights to use lethal force.
Oh, absolutely. I agree 100%.
But should we gind it necessary to exercise that God-given freedom, we will be subject to whatever charges our own government decides to “cook up” as a result of them having to explain several dead Interpol agents to the UN and others.
I’m not saying the spectre of our our own government actively working against us should deter us from defending ourselves, in fact it should strengthen our resolve to do just that. But we must be prepared to face the consequences heaped upon us by an unjust administration/regime in this country should we find it necessary to use lethal force against Obama-sanctioned foreign agents on U.S. soil.
One thing I’d like to know is WHY Ronald Reagan “let the camel’s nose in the ten” on this issue. I always thought he cherished U.S. sovereignty more than just about anything.
I see this as another act of war by our modern King George government. War will be the result and soon. They are going for broke and will not stop.
Since the Constitution obviously does not matter to Mr. Obama, I’m kind of surprised his executive order does not require us to “quarter” Interpol agents in our homes.

Its time Americans stood up and defending their rights against this tyrant in the White House.
This issue is an opportunity to resist this tyrant whenever and where these “international cops” decide to act in violation of our rights.
opens the door for him to import foreign security forces (a la Iran, Venezuela) when the all the wheels finally start to come off. This is very, very bad.
Only consoloation is that the rest of the world may find him too obnoxious or laughable to save.
