I noticed several things common to all third world countries!
Lottery.
Lack of morals.
A small middle class or Government workers replacing
the civilian middle class.

Government workers both giving and getting bribes.

I had a friend in Guatemala, and in her opinion, the only secure job (especially for the head of family) was a government job.
