I read something to that effect was done during the turn of the 19th / 20th century. I think it was the English. From what I remember, when a bunch of muslims were to be executed they’d lead 5 or 6 into a court yard where the firing squad and a small pig were waiting. They would then slit the pigs throat and drain it into a small container and then take the box of shells to be used for the execution and toss ‘ em into the container while the muslims watched.
