I have the same fears. A general principle of mine is to never let a politician get near a pile of money, if at all possible. How is going to make health care less expensive if we have to pay for both today's and tomorrow’s care now? And when we get to tomorrow, the till will be as empty as Bernie Madoff’s investment portfolios. This to me is basic common sense.

They know that it is basic common sense. They also know that the general public won’t pay any attention to it. They will also throw enough stuff out there and some of it will stick. They know this also. The whole thing needs to be stopped and reworked. We need to get to the point that Congress works for the people, not their own self interst.
