if i did that to my 7 year old i would kill myself..put him away so he can't kill again..accidents happen but alcohol is no accident

That has to be just about the worst thing a parent could ever experience. Probably would simply destroy most. Losing a child is one of the worst experiences imaginable. Losing one this way has to be even worse. And on Christmas Eve to boot.
