Obama, family spend time on North Shore ("will not rest" until air terror plotters caught)

President Barack Obama continued his low-key holiday vacation, spending several hours at the secluded North Shore home of a high school friend.

The day-long outing yesterday to the Mokuleia beachfront home of Punahou School classmate Bobby Titcomb came on a dark day, as eight Americans and five Canadians were killed in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan.

World events are likely to interrupt Obama's holiday vacation again today.

The entrance to Mokuleia Beach Park was as close as anyone could get.

Even our news vehicle got a once over from a canine unit.

“It’s very obvious with the number of police and the military around and the helicopter the ATV’s I think Obama’s very safe,” says Jacobs.

All flight operations at nearby Dillingham Airfield were shut down at noon.

But the owner of Skydive Hawaii wasn’t grumbling, since he could have been shut down for much longer.

“When he’s right across the street we’re closed down so we’re willing to do that that’s a small part for our country,” says Frank Hinshaw of Skydive Hawaii.

At 1:37 p.m. the Obamas motorcade sped down Farrington Highway in route to a beach home owned by longtime high school friend Bobby Titcomb.

“Even if we just got to see the cars I was excited to see everyone drive past,” says Donovan.

The beach home behind this bamboo gate is well-known on the North Shore.

On Wednesday, horses were seen on the nearby property, leading to speculation the Obamas may go for a ride.

“So when we saw the horses we were like, ‘Oh, okay’ Obama’s gonna ride some horses,” says Donovan.

“Feels like a people’s president and I’m glad he’s here.”

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a president work as little as this one does.

the very image of him basking over there as terrible things happen - is disturbing

One would think a spin machine as sopisticated as the democrats’ would force this adolescent to come home and at least look like he cares and is taking charge

God Rest our brave CIA guys on the frontier - maybe the single greatest loss for the CIA? Someone comitted a terrible betrayal.

You have to wonder if he knows something is going to happen and wants to be well out of the way.

“I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a president work as little as this one does.”

True...but maybe this is a good thing. Whenever he does “work”, the country is wounded in one way or another.
