Good evening. Tonight, as Americans across the country gather with family and friends, I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year. This is always a hopeful time, as we celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another. And while 2009 was difficult for many Americans, we must also look back on this year with the knowledge that brighter days are ahead of us that although our challenges are great, each of us has the courage and determination to rise up and meet them. It is that spirit that has kept the American Dream alive for generations, and it is that spirit that will keep it alive for generations to come. Happy New Year, everyone.

Nice.
You got that right. All I usually hear from BO is noise and when I can clearly understand what he's saying he's always talking about himself so I don't bother hearing his speeches anymore.
Very nice!
Thanks Goldie!
This is how it would have sounded without the teleprompters.
Good evening. Uh. Look. Tonight, as workers across the country gather with family and friends, I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year. Uh. This is always a hopeful time, as we celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another. And while 2009 was difficult for many Americans, we must also look back on this year with the knowledge that the caliphate is ahead of us. Let me be clear, your challenges are great but each of you has the obedience and humility to submit. It is that obsequious spirit that has kept the Holy Koran alive for generations, and it is that spirit that will keep it in force for generations to come. Happy New Year, suckers!
As a footnote, I would like to add that I'm really bummed that Limbaugh made it to 2010. Rahm is really upset about that one. He had high hopes last night when we doing some blow and hitting each other with Michelle's Boob Belts.
Well done!
Everything Barry utters comes out smelling like ineptitude - regardless of how it’s translated.
Nominated for best summarization of the speech!!!!!!!
The only message I want to hear from him is “I’m moving back to Kenya”.
barfs without the bag
I wasn’t expecting this until the 3rd of January or so. Isn’t he on vacation?
As long as he is Resident we will always have brighter days ahead of us.
Note that he had someone with political correctness translate to Spanish. Many Americans, of course, can mean Americans from South, Central or North America in the broad sense, but the Spanish translation uses United States citizens as the term. Latin Americans are sometimes offended that the US thinks of itself as the only Americans; however, he has addressed himself only to US citizens in the Spanish translation.
Thanks! You made my year! :-D
I’m just can’t wait for that same happy new year announcement for 2012.
