The NFL commercial you reference was produced by the NFL with the intent and purpose of selling NFL jerseys for Christmas. The ancillary purpose was to get a bunch of overweight kids off the couch and exercise.

Selling Drew Brees jerseys at $80.00 a piece makes money for the NFL.

So as long as a corporation is supporting political causes for their “profit” its ok? Kinda like how GE has paid for certain laws and regulations.
