We were advised to abort, almost 21 years ago. That baby is now enrolled in a double major, Japanese and software engineering, and sings in a Gaelic choir. Our God is in control indeed!

Amazing what these brain damaged kids can do!!!! Our daughter is now 35 and going strong!...but she can't carry a tune in a bucket, let alone in Gaelic!

My father (who is DEFINITELY not “brain-dead”) has that problem. When I was a boy, he was our minister and had to chant one prayer of our service; the organist would give him the starting note and all he had to to was to hold it until the end of the chanted prayer (we were “low church” so he had it easy — none of the more complex Anglican chant my current church uses), but he’d be half an octave or further away by the time the choir came in with “Ah-men.”
