Danish police shoot intruder at cartoonist's home

Danish police have shot and wounded a man at the home of Kurt Westergaard, whose cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad sparked an international row.
Mr. Westergaard was at home Aarhus when a man broke in and threatened him. He pressed a panic button and police entered the house and shot the man.
Danish police said the intruder was a 28 year-old Somali linked to the radical Islamist al-Shabab militia.......

Actually, Denmark is the most xenophobic countries in Europe. You have to live 2 years in ANOTHER EU country before they let you in even if you are married to a Dane.
A lot of Danes married to foreigners live in Malmo (Sweden) for that residency requirement and commute across the “Bridge of Love”

I assume that the cartoonist didn't -- and, considering the OBVIOUS danger he was in, WHY THE **** NOT????
If I was in his situation, MY "panic room" would have a 5-inch-thick bulletproof Lexan window and one-way ports for SHOOTING MUZZIES.
