Central Pennsylvania school districts received millions of dollars in federal stimulus funding and were advised to use the money for one-time expenses, since it will last for only two years. But with the tight economy, many districts are using the money to fill gaps that otherwise may have had to be handled by cuts or tax increases.

In addition to using the money for operating expenses, Harris said many districts are using the funding for small purchases rather than large-scale projects. Though districts were advised by federal officials on how to use the money, they were not restricted in its use, she said.

Liberals (e.g., education “administrators” and “educators”) should be required to have a grownup’s permission in order to handle money.

They don’t know where it came from.

They don’t know how to use it.

That’s why they’re liberals.

The stimulus money can be set aside for Obama’s re-election.

Education in Pennsylvania is organized crime in action. The system is run by the corrupt teachers’ unions and the state is one of the leaders in teachers’ strikes every year. Homeowners are taxed to the hilt and their taxes are raised every year at the whim of the local school districts.

The next Bubble is commercial real estate which will hit in 2010.
The next Bubble after that is state and local government and that crisis will start big time in 2010 and continue.

And I’ll bet most school districts raised taxes anyway.

Well, before long, we can say “so long” to that part of government funded day care with weird social and political indoctrinations.

They are simply doing what families have been doing for the last few years as time grew harder. The families used credit cards to pay ongoing expenses, these guys are using stimulus money. The end result will be the same. The ability to do it will end and they will be twice as worse off as they were before doing it.

Even a family no income can appear to be quite wealthy and comfortable for a time. But when the credit cards max out and/or the bills start coming due the end is pretty dramatic.

I fear that’s were Uncle Sam is right now. The piper is coming up the walk, about to knock on the door and demand payment.
