A Month in the life of George W. Bush ( News and photos) January 2010

As a new year commences I am sure we all miss the steadying hand of George W Bush who in the wake of terrorism or natural disaster gave us a feeling of calm amid the storm, of someone in control yet a man of compassion. This was shown during late 2004 early 2005 when an earthquake and violent tsunamis struck the nations that surround the Indian Ocean.

I have in fact chosen his radio message from January 2005 as the quote of the month for the first monthly dose of 2010.

A man of conviction and compassion, not all did and do agree with what he did but most will agree what he did he did from the belief that it was the right decision and done for the love of his country and its people and not for personal gain or popularity.

I feel the stark contrast with the current occupant of the White House more so each day when I turn the TV on to see what publicity stunt the current President is involved in. Even his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan he felt necessary to qualify with a promise of reducing numbers within so many months, again reminding us of the difference in character between the current and the previous President.

I hope the following photos from January 2005 give you some happy memories of a time when things however bad seemed more manageable and achievable because the President was in control and defending America and all she stands for instead of apologising.

Happy New Year to all and God Bless America and George W Bush and what he meant to us all during 8 very special years.

Oh how I long for the days when our country was being governed by adults. Now we’re stuck with a overgrown baby and his haughty, angry wife. Makes me sick.

Thank you for this. I miss them. They were adults with a sense of what the office meant.

These photos show that 'W' can have fun and still look presidential.

That thing we have in charge now just looks evil.

-—”That thing we have in charge now just looks evil. “

Ogabe is a brooding, passive-aggressive, unhappy soul with a dark cloud following him wherever his arrogant narcissistic mug goes.

What a contrast to the genuine happiness Bush had. He may not have been a slick speaker, but he wasn’t a neurotic psychopath like Obeyme is.

Owwww, bless his heart, poor fellow! I’m so sorry it made him suffer! As much as I love onions, I don’t think I could eat one like that. I like them battered and fried, cut up in soup or stew/chili, on a sandwich or salad, etc.. Anyway, I hope this holiday was good for him otherwise, and for you! Happy New Year too!

Out with the old in with the new. I miss the old that had respect for a White House occasion and didn’t show up in sloppy jeans and hoodies. I’m also sick of camel toe pants, and boob belts.

No kidding! You are so right about that dark cloud following The Once...or should I say The Prince of Darkness.

Yes, GWB had true joy in his heart. He also had a true love of his country and felt honor to serve as President over her and to keep her safe. None of which occupies the heart and mind of what we have now.

I’m also sick of camel toe pants, and boob belts.

Not to mention expensive, ugly flat shoes w/no nylons and curtain-ish dresses for formal occasions. *sigh*

There are some photos of Obama where he has a look in his eyes that seems to be just evil. I can't quite put into words what I see but it definitely gives me an overal feeling that the man emits evil.

I'd say it's both...he is evil and it shows.

A couple of days after the attack I tried to take a nap, but I was so stressed that I had a bad dream. Suddenly Dubya was there with his arms ready to hold me, I felt so peaceful then. I know it sounds silly, but it brought me comfort at the time.

Do you have the photo of Dubya and Laura standing back to back? That was so cute.

That’s one of the most becoming dresses I’ve seen on Laura Bush. I don’t remember seeing it at the time of the photo.

Great to see you here, snugs! I hope you and your dad can stay warm over there across the pond!

Thanks for posting about GWB, as we seldom see much about him these days while he is completing his memoirs. octex
