TRENTON -- A bill that would allow illegal immigrants who are New Jersey residents to pay in-state tuition was today moved out of an Assembly committee after hours of emotional testimony.
Opponents of the bill say it goes against federal law and would deprive state colleges of the money that out-of-state tuition would bring in, but supporters counter that it would bring paying students to the school who otherwise would not have attended at all.

Illegal students should be arrested and sent beck to their countries of origin .
They are not "undocumented immigrants." They are ILLEGAL ALIENS. Calling them "undocumented immigrants" is like calling shoplifting an "undocumented sale."
We’ve truly become a Third World Country. How is this different form countries that have known drug dealers giving handouts to the local populace, so they won’t testify against them? KNOWN law-breakers are now welcome in New Jersey, just to get their tuition money (which in a lot of cases comes in the form of taxpayers’ tax money directed towards the “under-priveleged”, etc.) ??????
Moronic on the face of it.
Naturally this includes the Tali Ban,,you didn’t think N.J. would miss anybody did you?
I wonder if the New Jersey state legislators are accessories to a felony?
The State of Maryland I believe allows the same thing along w/extremely liberal motor/voter laws & allows illegals w/no documentation to obtain driving licenses
Gov.Martin O’Malley(Dem) (previously the Mayor of Balto.City) and founder of some silly liberal rock band called O’Malley’s March would do well in purging the rolls & tightening up&cracking down on illegals but he won’t , you know why?
He’s hoping this current admin will vote amnesty for ALL illegals, therefore solidifying the Dems position if it does pass
An invading enemy soldier is also an unlawful visitor and not an immigrant.
As any immigrant can tell you it is required that you have an IMMIGRATION VISA to immigrate. No visa; no immigration.
Here's a dilemma for New Jersey. Guy comes from England on a valid student visa. He signs up at school and tells them "No, matey, I'm here illegally ~ no visa 'tall. Gimme' that IN STATE RATE". Obviously the people who run Jersey's schools will sign him up at the in-state rate. Next kid in line is from New York City ~ he gets out of state rate.
Clearly New Jersey would have to prove the unlawful, visaless presence of each and every claimant to in-state rates ~ so how do they do that? Typically in California, and in the other states that've tried it, they ask for proof of graduation from a state highschool, with some sort of proof of attendance at that school.
Neat trick ~ I can get appropriate diplomas on the streets of DC to any highschool in the land. A resident of New York would need do little more in fact, and best of all, they sound alike so he or she would pass undetected among the denizens of New Jersey's colleges.
So, New Yorkers, follow me in this ~ "Say, Lon Giland" ~ chorus: "Say, Lon Giland". "Excellent. You are on your way to getting in a New Jersey college".

This could be the first test for the new Conservative Republican governor to show where he stands on enforcing immigration laws. He can veto the bill.
