Florida news.

This will certainly INCREASE unemployment, as employers cannot afford such confiscatory taxes.

It isn’t just FL. Rates spiked here in AZ as well, and about as badly. I don’t know how companies are staying in business.

As a life-long bookkeeper, I can tell you there is serious examining of the company books happening all over the country.

A similar thing happened here in Pennsylvania in the early 80’s when the steel industry basically shut down and we suddenly had tens of thousands of long-term unemployed. The state had to borrow the money from the Feds and hike taxes to repay it. Took us many years to dig out of the hole and it depressed employment the entire time.

Yep, from .002 to .054 of gross pay for each employee for the first $7,000 dollars of pay. I can see that cap rising next. Don’t forget you then pay Federal UT 940 at end of year.

Cap and Tax will be the final blow that does business in.

They're already hunkered down trying to weather the storm of assaults from BHO and his gang but it will be too much.

Come on November.

“Most of the businesses will have to pay the tax after the first quarter of this year. And in addition to the rate increase, they will be paying the tax on the first $8,500 of their employee’s pay — up from $7,000 in previous years.”

Oops. Didn’t read that far. Haven’t gotten that notice from the State yet.

This is why I believe it will take many years to recover what King Obama has done to the employment in America. We are headed for a depression. Don't believe an easy out now. So get ready, to those that work, your butt will be taxed to the hilt to pay for those freeloaders and those that were laid off.

When I bring my corporation's 2009 Q4 taxes into my bookkeeper in the next couple of weeks, I will have to ask about this.

Just another example of government being the problem, when it thinks it's the solution.

Lay off? As if I would ever hire them in the first place. I always have a nice long chat, eventually I subtly will get a feel for their political views or they will flat out say who they voted for.

We know that and the politicians know this, but the politicians don’t give a damn.

I personally believe that it is a part of the plan to destroy all private business in the Nation.

The politicans know that if they keep raising taxes and adding more regulations, they will eventually reach a point where the businesses cannot pay and will go out of business.

I hae said and still say that by the time obama and the Democrats get through with the United States there will be no pensions including social security, no industry of businesses, no money, no privately owned property, only government run camps with armed guards.

There will be plenty of starvation and dead people. Including obama worshipers.

Up till now, I have not seen anything happening that would change my mind.

Check out what they’ve done to license fees, tag fees, etc. All have more than doubled.
