Sally Quinn writes that the head of the Secret Service, Mark Sullivan, and Desiree Rogers should resign to protect Obama. She also points her poison pen at Rahm Emanuel for not protecting Obama. That's all fine and well (Rogers should definitely go, not Sullivan), but the problem Quinn doesn't want to own up to in print is her personal messiah (Quinn's an athiest, BTW) appears weak and vacillaing is because Obama is weak and vacillating.

Too true.

But Obama can’t possibly fire Desiree Rogers. She’s the daughter of the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans!

“You have to be nice to me,” Ms. Rogers, a descendent of voodoo queen Marie Laveau Glapion, warned guests. “I can put a spell on you!”

THE BUCK STOPS HERE - HARRY TRUMAN

Will someone remind Obama that he is the President of the United States?

Just like long suffering Russians who refused to blame Tsar Nicholas and (later) Stalin for their misery but the hacks around them.

What's the big deal? This administration is about blaming everything on Bush and doing everything opposite of how Bush did it. So, since Bush had a secure White House, that means Barry has to have an insecure White House.

If that makes sense to you, you might have voted for this idiot.

Sally Quinn:

Obama has had some real successes this fall. He did a masterful job of bringing together incredibly disparate positions to craft a strategy for Afghanistan. He put himself on the line and will probably come up with a reasonable health-care plan. He left Copenhagen with at least promises of cooperation from other world powers regarding climate change. But he is not getting credit that he deserves because he is being ill served by those around him who will not step up as needed and take the fall for him.

This is how Sally Quinn defines real successes: 1) belatedly accepting about 75% of the general's plan is morphed into "a masterful job of bringing together incredibly disparate positions to craft a strategy... " 2) "will probably come up with a reasonable health-care plan." I thought Ms. Quinn was speaking in the past tense? No matter, in her world, "probably" is as good as reality. 3) "he left Copenhagen with at least promises..." Do you suppose that if we promised Obama we might turn down our thermostats he might leave Washington?

I can only surmise that Sally Quinn was one real piece of ass when she seduced Ben Bradlee away from his wife and kids as her means of ascent at the Washington Post and among the salons of Georgetown because she sure did not do it by intellectual candlepower.

“Someone should have taken the blame and resigned.”

Yeah, Obama!

implications of the appalling breach of security are immense. The president could have been assassinated.

Yep. And maybe he will be assassinated next time he screws up so badly.

Someone should have taken the blame and resigned.

Why do that when you can pin it on some low-level flunky and fire him? That's just Corporate Management 101.
