Scandal-Plagued Democrat Senator Chris Dodd Retires at Lowest Point in Career

Scandal-Plagued Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut retires at the lowest point in an overly long, 35-year, political career. The son of a career politician (his father occupied one of Connecticut's senate seats for 12 years), Dodd has seen his already overly long, Senate career deteriorate among many scandal-plagued issues in the last few years, thus leading to some of the worst poll numbers of his career and a near-impossible matchup against his potential, Republican challenger for his seat. Though Democrats gave Dodd a big role as one of the primary advocates of the ill-fated healthcare "reform" pushed by Obama—how they seriously thought that would rehabilitate his damaged image is beyond me, considering Obamacare is very unpopular with the American people—it nonetheless failed to turn around his sagging fortunes.

Here in Ct. the Majority of voters are Like the Black Community ,they continue to vote for Democrats even as they see them destroy the Country. In the Case of the Black Community they have seen their Families destroyed by Give away programs and they continue to vote over 90 percent for the people who do it to them.
In the Case of Dodd ,the news people are already touting another Slime bag Democrat Richard Blumenthal Attorney General as the Most Popular Politician in the State as Dodds Replacement,Stupid is as Stupid does.

Now that Dodd doesn’t have to face the voters, he’s free to vote as much damage to the country as possible before slamming the Senate doors on his way out.

He was going to do that anyway. Now, he just doesn't have to worry about the possible consequences.

Democrats are scum.

Democrats gave Dodd a big role in healthcare "reform" thinking that would rehabilitate his damaged image.....

There is even one laughable quote from Dodd indicating he was getting a whole new voter base from healthcare reform.

Course I could be wrong (/snix), but this is probably what led to Dim Dodd's "decision" to quit.

Last July, Dodd proposed an amendment reducing aviation security appropriations by $4.5M in favor of firefighter grants (a move that enriched one of Dodd's financial backers). The federal money Dodd eliminated was specifically intended "for screening operations and for explosives detection systems."

AT THE TIME I POSTED THAT ITEM IN DEC 2009, MY ADVICE TO DODD WAS: "Dodd should pack his bags and leave now, before he's tarred and feathered and run out of DC on a rail."

The Dems are cleaning house to get fresh candidates for 2010. These guys will get sweet deals in the O Gov or in the private sector. They have their deals already. We just need to photo shop their faces on the new fresh Dem’s they are replaced by on all campaign ads. Let not the people forget. That is the Dem plan, forget 2009. They will lay low after the OCare gets made law this month.

If the dems keep the house or the senate and more importantly if republicans do not sweep both we are in big trouble! After what this country has seen over the last three years with the dems in control there should not be one of them standing at the end of November!

Healthcare is going to pass with secret deals between dems and there will be no debate. If this doesn't piss America off enough to fire everyone of these scoundrels nothing will!

We also have to remind people how sickeningly indebt the Democrats and loose checkbook Republicans have gotten us.

We need to promote a new term, "Checkbook Conservatives".

It should be easier for the dummies who don't know what a "fiscal" conservative is.
