The Honduran high command, including Gen. Romeo Vasquez Velasquez, the country's top military chief, face charges for bursting into Zelaya's residence and transporting the president to neighboring Costa Rica, Attorney General Luis Rubi said.

The June 28 coup deepened a political crisis that remains unresolved, despite a new president being elected in November.

“The announcement of the arrest warrants came as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Craig Kelly visited with the key players in the crisis in Honduras.”

Ok, now I understand why this happened.

“But the United Nations, the Organization of American States, the European Union and most nations — including the United States — condemned the coup and demanded that Zelaya be reinstated immediately”

NICE to know that the bastard in the White House has put the U.S. Government in the business of supporting unconstitutional tyrants, in association with such collections of political degenerates as the U.N. and the European Union.

But then I guess would-be tyrants like Obama and the ousted President of Honduras feel they should stick together.

So will soldiers once again fall on their swords for the infamies of others? What legalities the military soiled when it kicked Zelaya out were more than validated by his actions after he returned. Mel preferred seeing his country at war than he out of power and nearly got his wish.

Let me see, the leftist Democrats do not believe in nation building, but negating Honduras’s constitution to support a legally ousted Marxist is okay?

Why is it I do not believe we are getting the whole story from CNN as usual?

SOSL... I tried a Google search on SOA and came up blank, except for mostly computer related junk.

What is SOA and what type of training would that have given the Honduran Gen. who followed the directions of his Supreme Court and Congress?

So far, Honduras has played this very well, and I hold out hope that this is still part of the plan.

The actions which brought these charges were the actions other nations criticized. So, what happens if they are tried and found not guilty, or tried and found guilty but given a slap on the wrist and that's the end of the matter? What would all the critics say then?

Thanks for the link to info, SOSL. Amazing that so many try to hold a training curriculum/institute responsible for the later actions committed by people who have attended the training, when the miscreants are such a small percentage of those who have undergone the same training. ...octex

The crisis erupted in June when Zelaya -- despite congressional and supreme court decisions calling it illegal --

Since 0bama and Hillary supported Zelaya in this can we take the statement above as a reflection of their views about the irrelevance of Congressional and Supreme Court rulings here? Considering the legislation we've been getting lately I would gladly consider it garbage and unworthy of bothering to follow.

I never mess with people who gone to the SOA. You need to treat them with respect.

What’s the story on Attorney General Rubi? To open this up at this time is just going to cause more instability. Who is he really working for?

Until Zelaya became exposed for the scumbag that he was, then Obama dropped him.
