That’s the point of the thread.

The tea partiers are not going third party. This guy is from the left.

The left is running scared if they are getting this desperate.

Are you saying we should just behave and stop thinking independently then vote for whomever the sissy Republican party decides to nominate? Um, not happening! I will *not* hold my nose and vote again, ever.

Not quite correct... If the people claiming to be conservatives continue to abandon the values of conservative voters to try to appeal to liberal voters, the liberals may win, but the absolute loser would be conservative Republicans who are being shafted by their own party.

There's nothing stopping Republicans from campaigning for these conservative votes, to appeal to those who are angry about the continued subversion of the constitution and the ideals of America. In fact, it helps focus their efforts, this Tea Party movement, as it demonstrates what voters really care about, and what they want to hear from those campaigning for their votes, and if someone fails to heed their voice, then they shouldn't expect to get the votes just because they have an R after their name on the ballot.

My vote's no longer free - Republicans are welcome to campaign for it; I'm willing to vote ONLY for those who campaign for my vote, and address issues and concerns that I'm interested in.

You’re suggesting that conservatives should always vote Republican, no matter what values the Republican party actually holds? This is patently ridiculous.

It is not the Tea Party fouling things up, it is the RINOs. Want to head off the threat of the ‘Tea Party’? Then take conservative issues seriously, rather than trying to be politically correct. The Constitution means something to conservatives, but not the GOP who are content to ignore the issue of the Kenyan usurper calling himself the President.

If Republicans in politics behave like Democrats, and the citizenry refuse to vote for politicians who would repeal Socialist constructs like minimum wage, Medicare, and farm subsidies, then the Democrats are already in power forever.
