Graham says he’s ready to make a deal on climate change legislation (wants to be 60th vote)
The Regional Business Journal, Charleston, SC ^ | 2010-01-06 | Mike Fitts

Sen. Lindsey Graham is ready to be the 60th Senate vote to get the climate change and energy bill passed, he told a Midlands audience Tuesday at Harbison State Forest.

“Since they’ve got no Republicans but me, business is open,” Graham said.

Graham has been criticized by his own party for pursuing bipartisan resolutions on such issues as illegal immigration and possible filibusters of judicial nominees. And he believes that the cap-and-trade bills being debated this year are another occasion to do so, he told the audience at a forestry conference hosted by the S.C. Wildlife Federation.

He said he has worked with Democrats, including Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to craft a bill he can support.

Another treasonous RINO.

South Carolina, you also have a gem of a patriot senator in Jim DeMint, who is in stark contrast with this clown (1 out of 2 ain't bad!)

Grahamnesty may as well just follow along with Benedict Arlen Specter and cross the aisle.

Time to play hardball with Loafers. If he does this, then two things should happen, at least:

1) Graham receives no money from any Republican org at any level

2) The Republican Majority Leader takes ALL committee assignments away from Graham

Graham said he believes that Earth is warming considerably and that increased carbon emissions can’t be good for the climate. A good climate bill will improve the environment and increase energy security, he said.

“You don’t have to agree with Al Gore to get where I’m at,” he said.

Maybe I'm just thick, but I can't seem to tease out where the "disagreement" is.

As I see it we have a five year plan to change the idiots in the Senate. We are just in the first phase.

We can only pray that God sends a month long Blizzard to South Carolina. Somebody needs to remind this limp wristed girly man that God is in charge of the Climate and not him.

I would like to BE at a large Tea Party where he showed up and be a part of the reaction.

Of course, he doesn't have the courage to come to a Tea Party. He'd rather party with algor.

(If nothing else, this shows that he is absolutely IGNORANT of Climategate and the massive scientific evidence that there IS no Anthropogenic GW).

What a dolt.

What, if any, is the procedure for recalling a Senator in South Carolina?

Lindsey Graham another reason not to donate to the RNC.

We donate directly to the candidate of OUR CHOICE.

Even Florida’s been cold lately. Damn. I’d run myself against Graham if I lived there, despite being considered damnyankee down there.

Doesn’t matter. The day will eventually come when he is up for reelection. THEN the voters need to take charge and remember all the anti-American things he’s voted for!

Didn't you see the headline, Laz? Record cold doesn't mean there isn't global warming. Don't you GET it?

Every "climate change" meeting they've had has been iced out or snowed out, but they stomp on because nothing will keep them from destroying the US economy.

A little cold isn't going to stop them. They're determined.

I looked and looked for the tag. Are you sure that this isn’t satire?

There’s so many lines in this that sound too absurd to be true. Maybe the author has a satiric column.

And Joe Wilson will calls this a$$hole a “team player.” You LIE!!!

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1109/Joe_Wilson_Dont_Censure_Graham.html

Joe Wilson: Don’t Censure Graham

With local Republicans trying to censure Lindsey Graham over his apostasy on, in particular, energy and climate issues, the state’s highest-profile conservative is standing by him.

A spokeswoman for Rep. Joe Wilson emails his statement:

Lindsey Graham has been a great leader for our state and party. I appreciate everything he has done for me and his tireless work in helping Republicans at all levels of government. He’s a team player. Ronald Reagan always said that people who agree with you 80 percent of the time should be considered a good friend. Reagan was a wise man and if we want to build a strong, vibrant Republican Party we should follow his advice.
