Rep. Michele Bachmann, a well-known critic of the Obama administration, took a fresh swipe at the president this afternoon for giving the failed Christmas Day bomber access to a lawyer.
"We should be using all legal means necessary to push this terrorist to release all his information, not allow him to lawyer up," Bachmann said -- in a statement that appeared to channel former Vice President Dick Cheney. "He should not be afforded the rights of American citizens like you and me. He is a terrorist, and he should be treated like one.
"Abdulmutallab’s actions were an act of war and not akin to breaking an entering," she continued. "Thus, they must be treated as such."
Her statement went on to say that if law enforcement is not given unfettered access to combatants for interrogation, the "President will continue to put the men and women of this country at risk."

What is galling is that this terrorist’s “lawyering up” will eventually be paid by the US taxpayers. His actions were an act of terrorism and as a non citizen he should tried by a military tribunal. During WW-II German saboteurs were tried by military tribunals and executed. Their appeals to the SCOTUS were rejected.
She is dead right. If this jihadi had tried to light his little panty bomb in Iraq or Afghanistan, he’d have been shot dead on the spot.
Now in some parsing of law only radicals like Obama and Holder can comprehend, if an act of war occurs on an airplane, it’s a criminal justice matter. By their insane logic if nutjob walked into a room full of US soldiers, shouted “Allah Akbar” and opened fire, they’d arrest him and read him his Miranda rights.

I couldn’t agree more with Rep. Bachman. How much valuable, actionable intel would we have gleaned from this Nigerian dolt if we had classified him as an “enemy combatant” instead of allowing him to “lawyer up” and exercise his “right to remain silent?” This incompetent administration is turning our nation into a giant “BULLS-EYE” for the sworn enemies of our GREAT NATION.
