Buss-ted!

Cops have caught the notorious kissing bandit who caused a major security scare at Newark Airport Sunday when he strolled through a checkpoint the wrong way to give his girlfriend a smooch goodbye, sources said.

Haisong Jiang, a 28-year-old Rutgers bio-medical research grad student, brought the busy airport to a standstill and sparked a weeklong manhunt, sources said.

The stunning breach was missed by TSA guard Ruben Hernandez, who left his post, but was called a "model employee" by a union official.

After scouring images of license plates at the airport parking lot and matching them to passenger lists, Port Authority detectives identified Jiang as a suspect and went to his home in Piscataway, NJ, at 7:30 p.m. yesterday.

He’ll probably get more punishment than that moron that caused the authorities to turn the plane around out west and have it escorted back by F-16s.

IOW, after determining that there never really was any malice, they threw down on this guy to make a public spectacle in retaliation for him inadvertantly uncovering the government incompetence.

This proves the worst offense you can commit in the United States is to embarrass law enforcement. They will move heaven and Earth to get back at you.

Murdering terrorists are a lower priority than a man who inadvertently makes a fool of law enforcement.

The scale of this vendetta is REALLY scary and speaks volumes about the hopelessness of our plight in America.

Exactly.

Rule number one: Don't ever make Big Brother look incompetent in the new USSA, comrade!

Poor guy, he should have come forward asap. He embarrassed the TSA, now they are going to come down on him like a ton of bricks.

You are correct. The government pencil pushers don’t like it when you show the public that they’re essentially a make work program for the skill deficient idiots in our country. If they could really “do something “ they wouldn’t have to work for the government.

do you think they’ll slap the wrist of the TSA GUY WHO ABANDONED HIS POST real hard? they’re already spinning him as a model employee.

let’s see...TSA guy is responsible for his part in preventing terror attacks in usa...abandons post...is called model employee.......yep...it all makes sense.

POTUS just said we’re at war.

What happens to a soldier on guard duty who abandons his post during a war?

I always thought it was idiotic to have one person watching the exit door from the terminals.

All the screeners, machines, dogs, etc at the entrance mean jack sh** as soon as that one guy looks away. The only reason this guy was caught is a passenger did their duty.

Heck, even subways have one-way doors to prevent fare jumpers. I guess it's all a show unless big brother's cashflow is threatened.

POTUS just said we’re at war.

I'm just wondering who they think the enemy is though.

No need to answer. I'm pretty sure I know.

“What happens to a soldier on guard duty who abandons his post during a war?”

If he’s a good little union soldier he gets a raise and a promotion to organizer.

I can’t believe that we let any gun carrying agency be unionized in this country.

With apologies, I think your private response needs to be aired, because if your opinion were to be held widely and applied, then we could also justify any number of anti-constitutional anti-liberty retribution on "people who should know better."

He knew he was breaking the law and he deliberately broke the law by waiting until the incompetent guard wasn’t looking.
He’s 28 and a PhD student - not just a dumb kid. He was fully aware that he was breaching airport security and as a frequent international traveler he was fully aware of the implications of that breach. He just didn’t care.

No. No malice.

He broke a rule. Had the TSA agent been there, they could've asessed the situation and merely told him no. Or, they could have perhaps even detained, or maybe arrested and charged him. Quietly, off camera, etc.

They are now trumpeting his 'capture' in order to save bureaucratic skin, to close the ranks...not to serve any security purpose. This effort is designed as a "long arm of the law" lesson for regular citizens. The "plenty of security holes available" for potential terrorists is long gone by, and didn't need this incident to show them that.

Yup. A simple turnstile would have done the job that this guard failed to do.
