Hey, small world, ninergold3, I was in Burlingame and my husband was also at the ‘Stick. My sister, her friends, and some other friends all had also gone to the World Series. If I recall, all bridges were closed for some time, so everyone headed down 101 and ended up at my house, which amazingly had no damage, just a terrified Pekingese.

I remember that the bridges were closed for quite sometime. The Bay Bridge opened just before (or right on) Thanksgiving. I was going to Oroville - in N. California - for Thanksgiving and it was the first day the Bay Bridge was open. I can laugh now but it was terrifying. Nobody was obeying the speed limits - I think we went 70+ to get over ASAP.
