BOSTONBill Clinton is headlining a final rally for Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley.
Discuss COMMENTS (15) The former president will speak Friday on behalf of the Massachusetts attorney general. She is locked in a competitive race with Republican Scott Brown to succeed the late Sen. Edward Kennedy. The special election is Jan. 19.
Massachusetts was among Clinton's most supportive states during his two terms, and he previously taped an automated call on Coakley's behalf.
Sen. John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, will also break away from hip surgery recovery to speak at the rally. Democrats deny they are concerned about Brown staging an upset.

PANIC spreading through the collective! Croakley needs to get Obama in there. Heh heh heh!
Will obama be bringing Bubba and Croakly coffee during the visit?
The Coakley campaign better stock up on prostitutes, or the female campaign workers won’t be safe.
Very positive development, given Billy-Jeff’s track record for getting candidates elected.
This is great news. The Bent One has bombed out with almost every candidate he’s endorsed. Clinton Fatigue is alive and well, even in Massacheusetts.
Anyone who is likely to be favorably influenced by Bill Clinton is clearly already going to be voting for Coakley. He might “rally the base” and get them to the polls, or it might have just the opposite effect. All we need is some 527C group running blowjobgate reminders.
You’ve got that right. Even a couple of my liberal kids have turned the corner———at last.
Eeewww. They were made for each other.
BSeriously, I think that every candidate Clinbilly has stumped for in the last few elections has gone down to defeat.
Fingers crossed.
ablsolutely! A BJC appearance is a leading indicator of who the losing candidate is going to be.
I hope she remembers to get him a coffee.
The headline made me chuckle a bit.
Maybe he’ll bring Gina Gershon along......
Clinton? La Besa del Muerto!
Oh, goody! This has been the Kiss of Death for many a hapless Democrat.
They must be in cold sweats by now bringing Slick in to the rescue.
His track record is abysmal propping up these candidates.
Not sure if I’m surprised or not that I’ve not heard anything from Sarah about this race.
