Catholic Bishops Activate 19,000 Churches to Stop Abortion in Health Care

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The nation's Catholic bishops have activated nearly 19,000 churches across the country to stand up to efforts in Congress to force Americans to pay for abortions under a government-run health care bill. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' effort could have a dramatic effect.

I would give credit to the Church if it didn’t support the rest of the bill. The Church has pretty much signed on to the rest of Obama’s agenda.

O Bama needs to have the Dems pretend to take abortion money out of the bill long enough to get it passed, then slip it back in.

It works every time.

The USCCB is a joke. First it gives millions of $ to groups like ACORN whose purpose is to elect pro-abortion politicians, and then it makes a big show of opposing abortion legislation. Ridiculous.

If they had concentrated on life, euthanasia, the disabled and conscience provisions instead of illegals having a right to healthcare (nevermind the morals on theft or the immorality of not taking justice for citizens who pay for it), we would have been way ahead of the game. With this group of eugenicists on the hill, it’s not even pulling the plug... they will not give them the life support to start with. Once again, playing god.

They were too busy taking his word (and the worldly MSMs), and writing in America and L’ Observatore Romano on how he was sooo for life. Never mind his record or those who should be sitting in far off places with monks, after their communist, outspoken, anti-church, destroying from within priests, lib sisters (who escort women to abortion clinics and counter-protest the marches, why... you guess) and Cardinals who feel in another life they went to divinity school and opened an individual church. Not to mention those who sold their souls, Catholics people looked up to, who jumped into the campaign and interfaith bull of O’s with both feet.

Now ask me if i’m sure our hospitals will close should this go through...

I can hear it already, the good outweighs the bad and we’re called to serve the poor. Then behold the exodus.

It’s a shame we had to keep a list of priests, bishops and cardinals who spoke out during the run... it should have been all of them.

As a practicing Catholic, I’m pleased by the effort to stop this monstrous health care bill, but leery that these some 19,000 churches will be used to push through illegal immigration ‘reform’....

The Church has bought into the “social justice” idea and preaches that health care is a “right”. They are only getting loud now because it is clear the Democrats have snookered them on the abortion issue.
