President answers critics
Mexican President Felipe Calderón is irked at those states that discredit the intervention of federal forces in the war against organized crime and blame it as the cause of the violence. The government intervenes because there is violence and crime, not the other way around; its not that there is violence and crime because the federal government intervenes, he asserted in a meeting with his diplomatic corps.
La Voz de la Frontera (Mexicali, Baja California) 1/8/10

In Mexicos southern state of Chiapas, one of every four families is being affected by the decline in remittances sent by more than 400,000 of the states citizens residing in the US. According to sources from the University of Mexico (UNAM), during 2009 the drop in economic aid received by families from their relatives in the US was between 25 and 30 %. Chiapas is among the 15 Mexican states that make up 81% of the recipients of remittances from the US and in the past decade has had a major increase in migrations to the north.

[Op/ed note regarding the risks and burdens of accurate reporting from Mexico.]
Alarming, the situation of journalists in Mexico
Frankly alarming, unreal, the situation that faces journalists in carrying out their work in Mexico. A job, a trade or profession that has become ultra-high risk. No one, except the authorities in charge of guaranteeing the security of a citizenry driven to the limits of cruelty, has managed to impede the wave of executions of the communicators in the country. The abduction and assassination of the reporter Valentin Valdes Espinosa of the periodical Zocalo de Saltillo is one more case of the violence practiced against those who have chosen to inform the community about the happenings of the day. Valdes not only was kidnapped by an armed gang, but also tortured and brutally murdered at close range. A colleague accompanying him was miraculously released. The CNDH [Human rights org.] condemned the crime and revealed a macabre reality: To this date, 58 journalists have lost their lives in our country since 2000.

I KNEW HE'D GET IN TROUBLE SOONER OR LATER...............
Maybe the guys who caught him should be called Teo-baggers.
Good for Mexico. Now, hang him high!
Im not gonna say it
There are several thousand non-Spanish speaking Mexican "immigrants" in California, more than 5,000 in San Francisco alone. The majority speak Maya dialects and the counties where they are clustered have special programs for them.
freepmail me what you were gonna say. ;-)
I liked Teo-bagger.. but I know you.. lolol
Is this what we have to look forward to?
“Is this what we have to look forward to?”
When the government admits these Mexican cartels are established and running the drugs in 230 US cities, and they’ve taken over the national forests and parks for drug plantations, I’d say, yes, this is exactly what we have to look forward to. When the Dems get their CIR/ASAP amnesty legislation through, it’s going to get worse.

Of course it means nothing. Give them a few days and there will be a replacement for the perp.
Under the failed bill, students who are "undocumented aliens" would be eligible to pay in-state tuition if they attended a NJ high school for at least three years, graduated or got the equivalent of a diploma and file an affidavit with their college promising to apply to legalize their immigration status as soon as theyre eligible. Eleven states allow in-state tuition for illegal parasites.
BACKSTORY In Nov, the losing Dem incumbent gov sucked up to illegals, promising them in-state tuition and driver's licenses. He had a "Peruvian Pac" endorsing him. Obama's WH team organized super secret latino campaign events for the Dem. To no avail.
The winning Lt Gov candidate---a county sheriff---was lacerated by latinos. She had applied for the federal 287(g) program. Latinos began an allout assault---accusing the Sheriff of "political pandering," for scouting incidents of indictable offenses such as driving under the influence by undocumented immigrants coming into the County jail, and asking about about immigration status, regardless of the offense. The Sheriff insisted she had simply sought to ensure that "illegal criminals" were not unduly released for fear illegals would further harm the ciizenry and the community.
JERSEY IS ID FRAUD CENTRAL July 21, 2006 Two Texans busted in bogus ID operation in NJ. Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, authorities said. The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker.
The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the US, passports and resident alien cards, said state police.
Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force, regularly runs checks. The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout.
Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately. The Texas brothers consented to a search. Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs. All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street. Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards.

thanks for the ping Liz.

The bloodiest day
Last Sunday was recorded as the most bloody day so far in the cartel wars, with at least 69 organized crime assassinations reported in nine Mexican states. This record for one day surpasses the previous one set last August 17 during which 57 were killed. So far in 2010, there have been 238 organized crime related murders. As usual, Ciudad Juarez in the state of Chihuahua led the nation in the killing spree, contributing 26 of the murders.
Ciudad Juarez, world class violence
**********Its official. Cd. Juarez is the worlds most violent city, according to figures issued********** by the non-governmental organization Citizen Council for Public Security. During 2009, the city averaged 191 homicides for each 100,000 inhabitants, placing it above such other high-crime cities as New Orleans, Medellin and Cape Town. The president of the council said the figures show that the federal governments operations in the drug war have failed. [This story was repeated in nearly all the other major newspapers with the notable exception of the three in Cd. Juarez.]
Busy weekend
Nine people were victims of murders related to organized crime in Tijuana, Baja California over the past weekend. One of those killed was a state police officer. Six people were murdered in the neighboring state of Sonora.
El Imparcial (Hermosillo, Sonora) 1/11/10
The Mexican Army arrested a group of six men in Nogales, Sonora, who were armed with grenades and rifles and riding in an armored vehicle with tactical uniforms of the Mexican federal Department of Justice (PGR). The Army seized 2 grenades, 8 rifles, clips, ammo, and three vehicles. [No explanation where the other two vehicles came from.]
-end of report-
You should move to Detroit. Preferably at an address in the city proper. Then you would be amongst good, law abiding, God fearing, legal citizens, and not have to worry about those filthy Mexicans.
One down and one million to go!!
