From a twitter up the thread the person talked about the “Castel Haiti” was lieing in a heap. Looks like it was a fairly modern (and tall) convention center:

From the same source in PauP says the Hotel Montana is also gone. I can only imagine if newer/modern structures like this are gone, the mass of people living in the slums will fare worse. So sad. Interesting how on his twitter, one minute he is talking about getting a music video shoot together, until the earthquake hits. A reminder to all of us I suppose on how fast things can change.
