Obama concedes he hasn't brought country together (Still gives himself a B+)

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says he has not succeeded in bringing the country together, acknowledging an atmosphere of divisiveness that has washed away the lofty national feeling surrounding his inauguration a year ago.

"That's what's been lost this year ... that whole sense of changing how Washington works," Obama said in an interview with People magazine.

The president said his second-year agenda will be refocused on uniting the country around common values, "whether we're Democrats or Republicans."

"We all want work that's satisfying, pays the bills and gives children a better future and security," Obama said in the interview, which the magazine conducted with the president and his wife, Michelle Obama, at the White House last Friday.

The president's comments came as Republican leaders rallied against the core items of his agenda, from his economic stimulus plan to health care. The mood of the country has remained in a sustained slump, too, as double-digit unemployment followed a campaign built upon "hope" and "change."

Yeah but he’s brought Bernanke, Gertner and Goldman Sacs back together.

This arrogant evil clown I will call “IT”.

He is ruining all of our lives. I can’t even stand to look at him or hear his nonstop lying anymore.

I will pray for his evil reign to be over before it is too late.

the lofty national feeling surrounding his inauguration

Sorry, but your "lofty national feeling" was a media-created illusion.

make no mistake

The ONLY people he has said he will fight are the Americans who do not support his agenda.

He’ll sit down with Iraq, North Korea, Syria without preconditions. He’ll bow to the Saudi King. He’ll demean business.

But he has nothing but love for communists and tyrants of all flavors.

.......That’s what’s been lost this year......

It was never there. It was a mirage, a false glimmer on the horizon. It was but a day dream, a fantasy constructed from air and lacking substance and reality.

It’s because he believes in No President Left Behind. No one fails. We’re all winners, like Stuart Smalley.

Egad. I had to look to see if this was a satire piece. "Lofty national feeling"? The only feeling that I had at the election of the Kenyan Clown was of disgust.

Our national press is a national disgrace.

Typical liberal "feel good" reward system. You see it all over today. It doesn't matter how well little Johnny performs, everyone gets an award, everyone gets a trophy, everyone gets some kind of recognition. There is no incentive to do really good work, no real recognition of outstanding performance. Everyone comes away with some sense of entitlement that, hey, I did my best, I deserve a reward.

Well, no. In the real world, you actually have to do something to merit recognition. You can't simply show up and get a Nobel prize. You can't merely be present to win a war. Finally, trying to destroy America and the principles it was founded on by turning it into a socialist/fascist state does not merit a B+ obama. From me you don't even get an F, I'd have expelled you long ago as disruptive and dangerous for everyone else.

Obama also doesn’t want to stuck in the health care mess. I don’t think we will see another press conference until health care gets passed.

Obama concedes he hasn't brought country together.

No president from either party can 'bring the country together', it's completely divided. So if we win in 2012 I hope we don't even pay lip service to such a ridiculous idea. But we probably will.

The only people who had such a 'feeling' were liberal democrats. The rest of the country knew what would happen if this stumblebum got elected, and the facts have proven us right.
