We had occasion to visit my sister in law in Baton Rogue not quite a year ago. We took a two lane road to the southeast to kind of have a look at Biloxi, since my late brother had gone to Air Force electronic school there. Way out in the middle of nowhere there were thousands of trailers on the hillsides waiting for an earthquake in Haiti.
When the aid starts flowing it will represent the greatest influx of wealth most Haitians have ever seen. The lust to control it will be strong
And Clinton is the envoy to Haiti.
As usual, libs change nothing...they just want to “sound” empathetic.
I realize that many of you are might be upset about the prospect of being asked to donate or assist in this disaster after what our government has done to us. Please remember that these people had no warning to prepare for this like we have had for the many hurricanes we have endured in this country. I believe we are a country of caring people and yes, we are on hard times. What these folks are going thru is far harsher than us dealing with an imcompetent leader that we now have to endure for three more years. As a American, I am more ashamed and shocked how Pat Robertson has chosen to react to this event. It tells people around the world that we are in fact what they have been saying about us for all those years. It tells people of all races and religions over the entire globe that Christians are our enemy and should be removed from the planet forever. It plays right into the negative views many have us of us right now. I believe in GOD, but I dont agree with how it is practiced by some people in our country. What Mr Robertson has done is morally wrong. Will his followers now refuse to send any help to assist these people too?
All I am asking is for you to help anyway that you can. If you are a person who can send money, please do. I dont care how much, even a dollar is fine if thats all you can afford. Say a prayer for all of the families that will have lost loved ones, for the children that have lost parents, for parents that have lost children, for friends that will never see each other again and for all the people who didnt get to tell loved ones “I love you” before they died.
IMHO,we as PROUD AMERICANS should come together and work hard to show the world we are not the “GREAT SATAN” that many say we are. We are presented with a great opportunity to show our compassion for our fellow man and yes, we might even show a few terrorists that we are not who they think we are. What a benefit that would be. Our actions could do more than the DEPT of Homeland Security has done at keeping persons who hate us out of this country.
If we take the hard view of this and stand by and do nothing or very little, then we are playing right into terrorists hands and proving everything they have been saying about us is true and fuel another wave of suicide bombers that want to kill us where we stand.
Lets show the people of the world that hate us that they are 1000% wrong about us and about America.
