When the South Carolina Legislature begins its yearly session Tuesday, it will decide whether to take action against disgraced Gov. Mark Sanford. Sanford left the state without notice last summer for a secret rendezvous with an Argentine woman he referred to as his "soul mate." In the days after the affair came to light, a majority of legislators called for Sanford to resign or face impeachment. The Legislature now is merely considering a censure.

Slipping out of the country for a week with no one knowing, leaving staff, family, and state security baffled, lying (and deceived themselves) with your fake cover story, and then state leadership panicking as they discovered that you could not be found but your car was, and then one day you try to return to the United States anonymously, thinking that in times of war and terror, no would notice that a Governor was missing and had travelled alone to and in Latin America. Hard to believe that this unstable guy wanted to be President.
I live in SC and am paying the bill for these jerks. I don’t like what Sanford did ... but GET ON WITH IT! We’ve got major problems here in SC and these jerks are playing politics? Out with ALL OF THEM!
