nasa got political. Screw ‘em. Close ‘em down. We are just about done in space, in any substantive way, for the foreseeable future anyway.
Here’s a better idea, toss out the political hacks masquerading as scientists like Hensen and refocus the entire agency on its original mission, space exploration. That probably means closing the Goddard Institute for Space Studies since their main focus is gorebull warming. NASA was once one of the very few productive government agencies and is largely responsible for making today’s technology possible, and if we trimmed and refocused the agency we could make it productive again. I don’t expect that to happen unless conservatives sweep the House, Senate, and Presidency.
