8-year-old NJ Cub Scout on terrorism watch list
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | January 15, 2010

Travel is a hassle for an 8-year-old Cub Scout from New Jersey.

That's because Mikey Hicks shares the same name of a person who has drawn the suspicion of the Homeland Security Department.

His mother tells The New York Times she sensed trouble when her son was a baby and she couldn't get a seat for him at a Florida airport. She says airline officials explained his name "was on the list."

He was patted down as a 2-years-old at Newark Liberty International Airport.

TSA stops 8 year old Cub Scout but Nigerian terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab with a bomb in his pants gets a pass. Is this what Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano meant when she said "the system worked"?

Come to find out, his father has the same name as the son. Dad is married to a Middle Eastern woman. Apparently, Americans who travel frequently and are married to Middle Easterners get put on the “watch list”. Unfortunately, the kid gets caught up in it.

Don’t put the radical islamic fanatic underwear bomber on the watch list when HIS OWN FREAKING PARENTS REPORT HIM TO THE EMBASSY!!!!! But put this 8 year old on there in a heartbeat. Insanity.

He was patted down as a 2-years-old at Newark Liberty International Airport.

That's because he wasn't wearing his diapers on his head.

I remember that too. Bill sometimes gets a mention on Top Gear. My favorite out of the three is Graeme.

I had forgotten about them until about 10 years ago myself. Dave Allen, Benny Hill, and MP were greats in their own rights. Paul Hogan is one I would love to see out on DVD.
