Catching up on the quake coverage, Sanjay Gupta and Cooper are claiming that Tent Hospital closed immediately. Patients left for time being alone. I think Anderson is becoming unglued. Evidently the UN pulled the plug because of safety concerns.

The UN needs to just get the F out of the way, step aside and let the US Marines handle this.

“I think Anderson is becoming unglued.”
He’s been unglued for a LONG time. He’s a disgusting person who should not be alone with children.

The link to the story is incorrect, but the story can be found at www.cnn.com home page. Basically Dr. Sanjay Gupta is saying the tent hospitals are being told by UN to pack up everything so that they can move to a more secure area due to nearby riots and gunfire.

Watched it - Blue Helmets ordered all docs and nurses to get on bus and depart - seriously injured patients still laid out on mats and surgery tables to fend for themselves

The UN needs to just get the F out of the way, step aside and let the US Marines handle this. ...and when the old tonton macoute start swinging their machettes and whipping up the thirsty, hungry crowds, we can have the Marines fire on them.
The fact of the matter is that we are in a no-win situation.

It is only going to get worse. Much much worse.
All relief workers are going to have to evacuate.
I wonder how many relief workers will have to die before they pull out.

Unclear as to why UN Blue Helmets could or would not provide a small squad of armed guys to stay and allow the docs to continue caring for critical patients??
Expect higher up leadership at UN will get an earful

As I said on another post: The UN is being its usual worthless self. Gen. Russel Honore is the only person Ive heard who talks sense too bad hes not in charge.
The UN pulling doctors and supplies from a field hospital with sick and dying patients today was unconscienable.

The US has a very tough decision to make when it comes to Haiti. It must either mount a full fledged iron fisted occupation or continue the band-aid approach of the last hundred years with the continued poverty and suffering of the Haitian people and the attendant casualties that our military and relief workers will face while we try to play nice.
As I said before, it’s a no-win situation.

Just wait until one of our Marines is forced to shoot a Haitian Criminal trying to attack him.
Obama will probably try to get the Marine's Court Martial moved to Gitmo.

Sounds more like UN security became unglued - apparently they ordered doctors and nurses to abandon patients in critical condition due to these "safety concerns".
